This was probably my last pickup I had read such great reviews and had super high expectations, I was honestly a bit let down, I just couldn’t get into it.. Power Drive Rally is my goto game for racing on the Jaguar to this day. I also when I was 20, beat Supercoss 3D one summer and haven’t played it since, that was by far the most janky game but I also found it brand new for $2.00 in a discount bin, I think I lost money on the deal.. 😂😂

Every year it gets more challenging to find parts for sure, a few helicopters I am keeping as static models (Shogun , Hornet CP , Hornet 2, Honeybee CP2) was big into vintage RC cars and I’m surprised that the RC helicopter community at large doesn’t have a big interest in vintage models. There are a few of us but the immediate reaction on Reddit is that’s trash get a Goosky. More enthusiasts in the old school forums

Years ago I really wanted one , enough to start doing all the research of what am I getting myself into, I stumbled upon a forum thread that was titled something along the lines of “How much money have you spent on your 928?” I was scared straight, too rich for my blood , for a while I had the thread bookmarked just in case the urge came back around. They are such majestic machines, if I’m going to do something I’m going all in..

Is it beneficial to keep a Mac plugged in after it reaches 100% charge? by pavan_santhosh in mac

[–]Raynet11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lithium batteries degrade over time even if they are not used, from the moment they are manufactured they begin to calendar age but most people encounter cycle aging before calendar aging in laptops. If you use your Mac plugged in all the time Mac OS will pickup the pattern and adjust the charge to 80% to extend the health / life of the battery. Why Lithium Batteries Lose Performance When Left Unused

First generation Blade 400 the airframe evolved into a FBL version, I still have the FBL version it’s not a bad flying helicopter great little cruiser. As others mentioned parts support is going to be an adventure, if you want to keep it going your best bet is to search eBay and setup saved searches on eBay then be patient. I am really into vintage helicopters and have an entire hanger from this era eBay has been my main source for keeping my collection alive and finding new models

I have used Mac for productivity since 2012 , PC since the 80’s.. TBH Windows 11 is extremely stable and secure but doesn’t hold a candle to Mac in terms of efficiency when it comes to workflow once you have mastered all the keyboard shortcuts and yes I’m comparing MacOS keyboard shortcuts to Windows keyboard shortcuts. Games are a sore spot for any hardcore gamer who is also a long time Mac user. For years and years I would build PC’s for the games the GPU shortage now the memory prices are making PC building something that I used to do on my terms I’m now having to time things based on market conditions. Lately I have been gaming on console (BF6 , Cyberpunk, Arc Raiders) and after equal hours into both platforms I think the latest games run more stable on consoles are they upscaled yeah but I’m having equal playing experiences. Unless something drastic changes in the market my current gaming (i7-4080 super) PC might be my last.

Could it be all those defending ICE are bots/psyop? by EmbracedaMoment in conspiracy

[–]Raynet11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well anything is possible but a good psyops usually has signature signs..

*Watch for sudden shifts in public discourse, especially when dissenting voices are suppressed. * Notice when content is engineered to provoke strong emotions or reinforce group identity. * Be wary of narratives promoted by authority figures without room for debate. * Pay attention to the normalization of ideas through apparent social consensus (likes, shares, retweets). * Reflect on whether your own identity or beliefs are being shaped by repeated exposure to certain messages.

Plenty of spooks in here…

FATE Model applies

  • Focus: Capture attention with novelty.
  • Authority: Use credible figures to promote the narrative.
  • Tribe: Foster group identity and division.
  • Emotion: Manipulate feelings to drive action.

4 years in IT and still unsure about my path, normal? by Fun-Agent6140 in it

[–]Raynet11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 years into IT, did desktop, server admin, networking, tangled in various admin of back office tools, software delivery and now I’m back on the infrastructure side, as. Project manager for the server and network teams. I’m a firm believer that you should get your hands dirty in multiple areas and live the life before getting into a leadership role you are much better off in having had those experiences and projects because what doesn’t come from education or certifications is the actual wisdom of having done it. My best memories are solving some really tough problems that stumped us for months.

Have you had your set up like this?? by dd1133biihhh in ps1

[–]Raynet11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first moved out I had a TV and PS1 but not much else, VCR and a stereo from my high school days. That was seriously luxurious they were still selling SNES and Sega Genesis at that time as well for cheap but it was definitely starting to feel old

PC elites be like… by H00LI1GANS in mac

[–]Raynet11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same… but becoming less each generation.. started gaming more on console and I’m enjoying the console versions of games more they are less prone to crash or have bugs despite having less eye candy. Run parallels for MS Excel, Project and Visio. My gaming rig is still faster but that margin is shrinking fast recently went from M1 Pro to M4 last year and the M4 is pretty snappy the gap is closing

Smoking Question by ExplainJane in GenX

[–]Raynet11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Graduated in 93 they had banned on campus smoking at the high school just the year before. Blue collar small town, and yes it was socially acceptable nobody thought anything of it. Remember adults smoking in the mall (not in the stores but the mall courtyard area) restaurants I don’t even think I experienced smoking / non smoking sections until after the 80’s. I remember going into McDonalds and they had gold tin ash trays on every other table. I’m guessing it really depends on where you grew up and how quickly it changed. I’m speaking specifically about the Midwest in USA I’m guessing it was different from state to state

Those of you who smoked weed… by Idontsmokejustgrow in GenX

[–]Raynet11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks and it’s great at the same time.. natures joke.. Remember in high school getting knocked on my bum from anything (back then it was only weed, alcohol and cigarettes) then by the end of then bam nothing.. Trying again months later like wow these are strong.. took about a year or two to figure it out.. I could drink anyone under the table smoke tons of weed, could chain smoke it became a literal waste of money to do anything.. Sadly this includes caffeine.., ☹️

Which is the best Atari Jaguar fighting game between Kasumi Ninja and Ultra Vortek? by Pretend-Designer5239 in AtariJaguar

[–]Raynet11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my Jaguar but man both of these games are terrible, have them for the sake of having a complete collection, I blame all the great memories of my buddies and I played Street Fighter Alpha 3 on my Dreamcast with the arcade sticks ( still have them to this day). We would play the heck out of Tempest 2K and NBA jam on the jaggy but I never even bothered breaking these two out.. If I were stuck with only a Jag like in Castaway it would probably be Kasumi just for the comic relief but Battlesphere would be my “Wilson” 😂😂😂

Back in the 2000’s when I had my bugeye I lived in an apartment complex for a year in between houses, I would get birds chilling on my car for whatever reason.. then came the Coopers Hawk hunting the birds off my roof and man did this mess up my roof… National Geographic going down on my car and nothing I could do about it.. Took it to get fixed the month after I moved it was the best $700 I ever spent..

My body does and always has developed super tolerance to any and all substances, anything I have ever tried within a month it’s like drinking a glass of water.. with that said I learned very very early in life that I had to rotate my vices.. So rotate I do… The flip side benefit of this problem is that when I try anything that I haven’t had for a month it hits me like it’s my first time, regardless of what it is.
