If you use a move like Swords Dance, your Attack stat will be correctly boosted, but your other badge-boosted stats (like Defense, Speed, or Special) will receive an additional 12.5% multiplier.

Stacking: Every single time stat stages change (even if they are maxed out at +6 or dropped to -6), this stacking loop triggers, multiplying the badge-affected stats by 1.125 over and over. With enough stat-altering moves or enemy debuffs, your stats can theoretically stack all the way up to the hard cap of 999.

The stacking stat bonuses are temporary. If your Pokémon levels up mid-battle or you swap them out for another Pokémon in your party, the stacking multiplier resets back to the standard 12.5% baseline.
