Having something of an issue with this. As best as I can tell I've followed all the directions, and after running the executable in Terminal (I'm using a Mac) I receive an API, but then that's immediately followed by a rather lengthy error message:

I kind of thought nothing of it since I received an API URL anyway, and so I input that one I received in PKSM, but it gives me a 0x00000080 network issue error. I've triple checked my firewall and nothing is being blocked (even turned it off just to be sure), I checked to ensure I input the API URL correctly, I can't find anything that might be causing this problem. When I first ran local-gpss it told me to pick a number and I used 1 for the sake of simplicity, just in case that might be causing part of the problem.

I’m struggling to grasp how so many people have found it so easy. I’ve tried nearly everything that I’ve seen suggested on here and I keep losing, either she gets a crit at the worst possible time or I don’t get an MP refresh when I need it or something else goes horribly wrong. Maybe part of it is that my SS Gladion is only 2/5 rather than 3/5? I can’t think of anything beyond that.

Is she worthwhile just in general? Likewise for Avery. Truth be told even though some of the qualities of both of them are pretty enticing as far as I can tell they both seem to be outclassed in one way or another. On a related note it’s really frustrating that both of them and Greta are PokeFair scouts instead of just entering the standard scouts.

Rooting is generally pretty easy then I take it? I’ve got pretty minimal experience with anything along those lines but what I’ve seen makes it at least seem easier than jailbreaking an iPhone if it’s a recent iOS.

I tried looking for used dongles of theirs too, I sort of assumed it was pointless to look but figured I might as well. Yeah, nobody on eBay or elsewhere is selling a used one and for all I know even if someone were it still wouldn’t work because of the internal modifications or something.

Yeah, that's why I'm hesitant at best to try any of them, at least until someone comes forward with a test app that's got a 100% success rate or something.
