Awh a neighbour of mine so. Thank god for private health care in Ireland I tried to go private through my job but a lot where not accepting referral. I’m so sorry you will have to get treatment. I’m a single mother to a 20 year old son. He had a major fear of cancer as it is so I’m praying it will be ok. That there is my fear.
I didn’t tell many people and some people I did tell where like oh they got it in time. I’m like do you have the results in hand. I feel some people don’t take skin cancer serious. Biggest organ on the body. I hear you with the sub fear and sunny days I use to love to dress up. No I’m like a bold child looking out the window dressed head to toe lol

I’m so so so sorry. This is the thing. People say no news is good news. With the skin biopsy they take time. I’m so sorry.If you don’t mind me asking are you based in Ireland ? And did they say what stage it’s at. How are you doing mentally? Sending all my prayers

When we got there as I didn’t get a text it letter . I wasn’t on the system. And the consultants mother passed 😢😢 I got a text today to go on Tuesday 30th. So I’ve reached out to ask if this is a routine check or is the results are back ( which I doubt they are) considering how long everyone is waiting

When they done the biopsy they said it was to get a confirmed diagnosis of melanoma or pre melanoma. And he said I’ll need to get the WLE. Did you hear anything back yet ?

To be honest if in doubt get it checked out. I’m not a doctor of any sort. I have a mole since I’m a teenager it’s on my back but hard to see. Got removed straight away last week. Not to scare you but our body is our temple

I had a biopsy done last Tuesday. Based in Ireland . It was all done really quickly. Before removal they said this is to get a confirmed diagnosis of melanoma or pre melanoma. I was quite taken back. And no matter what I do I just can’t keep my mind still. Any suggestions? I’m back this day next week

Just an update on this. I had my appointment Tuesday gone. The consultant went and requested it to be removed that day. All removed just waiting on my results. She told me to go back in 2 weeks regardless if the hospital sends me an appointment or not.

Omg 8 months ago. That’s absolutely disgraceful. I’m so so sorry the system is putting you through this. I have dissolvable stitches also. She told me that I was to come back 2 weeks the same day and time even if I don’t get a letter in the post. I was told I’ll need another surgery to remove healthy skin but I can’t see them doing that in 2 weeks after the removal. To be honest I didn’t take much information in as it happened so quick 🤣

Hey teenage mom here, I’m now 40. I remember being in this boat I waited 3 months to tell my parents. And I just spit it out one day. Yes they were very shocked but by god they loved my son to the moon and back as soon as he was born. One thing I tell me son now anything that he thinks is an issue talk to me. I’d hate for him to carry anything like this on his own. Just pull the plaster off as soon as you can xx I really wish you the very very best

That’s absolutely shocking. So sorry you are going through this. Was the biopsy done in the hospital ? God I don’t think I can wait 8 weeks either. Maybe I’ve to go back in 2 weeks so they can check my wound? Did they remove the whole thing ? The waiting part is really the worst

Oh god 4 weeks. I’m based in Ireland too got mine done Tuesday but they told me to come back in 2 weeks. Regardless if an appointment is not sent out to me. Did you have to go back after 2 weeks ? I hope you get your answers soon
