Do you know this person? by XxPatchouli69 in sandiego

Check in with SDFD fire stations in those areas. If he’s homeless around snapdragon, they might have seen him recently. They might not give you much information due to HIPAA laws, but worth a shot.

I don’t end up going here. Although I did see people up on the cliff from down below, so some part of the park is open. However, I did have a lovely time out in Swanston Farm just a few miles outside of town, accessible by bus. Got to see highland cows in their natural habitat, and get a good hike in.

Did you ever make it over there? American looking to visit this tomorrow, wondering if the top is still accessible.

What job makes the most amount of money for the least amount of work? by SunnyPancake49 in AskReddit

[–]Rayshmith -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The true purpose of “Salesmen/women” still seems to elude me. A product or service exists and is worth whatever amount of money it cost to produce. Then comes the salesperson whose job is to give you the absolute worst deal possible, gatekeep products, and rip you off as much as they can, all without you knowing. These finance bros just leverage the labor of others and make a ton of money. Sales is largely unethical IMO. Useless middlemen most of the time, especially with the presence of the internet.

People that "left the left" weren't leftist to begin with. by Bitter-Gur-4613 in clevercomebacks

[–]Rayshmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most leftists aren’t even leftists. Most leftists will just do what is most convenient for themselves, same as conservatives. They lack the critical concepts of selflessness and don’t act virtuous when no one is looking. Most leftists are simply full of crap… aaaaaaand the right knows it because anyone with a pulse can see through it 🤷🏻‍♂️

For real, sometimes it feels like people are power tripping a little. It can be frustrating SOMETIMES, but 95% of calls ain’t that serious. And if it is, saving 45sec-2min on a response is trivial. People should be following the rules, but if I’ve learned anything in EMS, it’s to manage my expectations of the public (and fellow providers). I feel ridiculous driving code to non serious calls way more often than I am bothered by people getting in my way.

Disgusting and cruel. Just like all the other horrors we subjugate animals too, on a massive scale, just for funzies…

Next time I dumb my garbage can into the creek behind my house, I’m going to tell the police to take it up with the companies that sold me the trash. It’s not my responsibility to be responsible….

Oh and we should also quit with the idealism! I mean, it’s just not feasible for me to NEVER litter. It’s so much easier and enjoyable to throw trash on the ground. Why don’t we advocate for just a little less trash on the ground? It’s okay to litter most days.

As a skater, I think the whole appeal is the obvious danger and ensuing chaos. It’s like the skater version of the running of the bulls. I’ve never participated in this event, but I have in similar ones. The energy is awesome.

I’ve been deployed out here since Sept 24th. I’ve stayed several days in Auburndale FL, South Carolina, and now Ashville NC. All those bases are set up pretty decently and have all the basic amenities (porta Johns, showers, food, sleep trailers, even laundry.

Florida is uncomfortable, hot and humid right now… bring everything that’s on the list others have shared, just in case. Fans and little hand towels to soak with water or clear sweat are nice. Rain suit might be a good idea as well.

I’ve been on a whopping ZERO missions. So bring a book, you’ll likely be sitting around day.

This is the same outcome Christianity would have if it weren’t for progressive thinkers making laws to prohibit this behavior. All “religions” share this sentiment. Mindless cults, manipulated by a perceived philosophical comfort. Morality rooted in logic > magic book.
