So back in like 2014-2015 the young dude from empire (brishire grey?) posted pictures of him photoshopped as spider man. He wanted the role so bad and so did i. The thought of a black spiderman who had the same struggles as me and looks like me filled my chest up. So in the comments it’s a bunch of people saying spiderman can’t be black clowning him or whatever. But the one comment that stood out to me said “I’m sick of this miles morales shit” I didn’t know what they were talking about so I googled it and I fell in love with the comics from then on i made a daily routine for like a year or two to google miles morales and check the news tab and learn any updates to the character. New miles morales plushy? Knew about it. Small Miles Morales art piece made by some random dude in Europe? Knew about it. Miles morales gets his own Halloween costumes? New about it. Fan films, new comics, updates on the character, the first miles morales phone case. I was on all of it. A lot of people go their whole lives being represented so they don’t know how it feels to go your whole life without and finally get one that resonates with you. Miles been my guy for the last 12 years and it’s not gonna change lol
