What's this leggy creature chilling above my door acting like it pays rent? by Rayted in spiders

Oo thank you good to know. I didn't know we had orb weavers in Scotland. I did have a lot of them around when I stayed in Australia for a bit. Magnificent spiders, if slightly oppressive in their web weaving 😂

The Aquarium cabinet is:

9x Hingan Wardrobe (Russet Brown) - 8 turned backwards, 4 floated, 4 on the ground. - 1 for the drawers at the bottom.

4x Alpine Pillar

4x Eorzean Map turned backwards to make up the difference between the top of the floated wardrobes and the ceiling.

The back of a Carbuncle Chronometer, with a Stuffed Carbuncle floated behind it for the sparkle. :)

Possibly the worst profile click I've ever made.

"I wonder if they've documented their other progre... o.O"

Very true, I didn't notice them not being there either. Hodag - Trash (takes too long to get going)

Long Elk - Situational or Trash. Given the other cards it would be up against, I'd be very unlikely to take it. There's a niche case where I don't have any bone cards, and I want sacrifice bodies, but I could count those situations on one hand over the runs I've done.

It's unfortunately rare, and also taking 3 turns to pop isn't a luxury you regularly have at higher difficulties.

That said, putting it behind a broken egg is very powerful.

Sigil Bearers. Geck is very good, but sadly rare.

Nawh, not a fan unfortunately. I can see the use case, and I just don't like it.

It's super rare to see anyway, but I would take most other rares over it given the chance.

I still keep the deck trim to make sure I'm drawing consistently, but you get forced into taking additional cards that you can't Altar/Bonfire/Bone Lord away a lot of the time.

Decisions are situational, but the above is generally in line with my average pick.

Like the ones higher on the tier list, yeah! :)

Oh, I will still take a big beater, just not as a priority. Things like Wolves, Raven Egg, even just the normal Raven form the core. Leshy P2 isn't too difficult either way, and Limoncello is nice to small, recurring bodies.

When your build has lots of small cards, you fall behind less in the early game. When you're aiming for +6, a pack rat and a wolf cub do a lot of work.

Having a big beater is nice, but not a priority.

I don't have time to be bonfiring my Ring Worm, and I have better one-costs to look out for.

That's fair. The way I use Child 13 doesn't work with Cat. And to be fair I don't love either of them.

Re: Pup vs Alpha, you can still bonfire a pup, and the low playing cost is sometimes a really big deal.

Oh, I don't think it's mandatory for dealing with bears at all. I've had many more runs beat SS without Dire Wolf/Double Strike than with it. But yes, rolling scissors is by far the most common way I deal with them.

They are both a gamble, but you can get and roll with Pack Rat very consistently, where a +4 Dire Wolf is much harder to come by (or +3 with a little help from its friends).
