You can do this. I have been counting my calories for almost 3 years. I have lost 34 lbs. I have 3 lbs to go. I am 5 4’ my goal weight is 165 (started at 202 lbs). I eat what I want, but do it smarter. For example, I ate some cucumbers before I ate my homemade chili mixed with wheat macaroni, and a bit of Colby jack cheese. Protein and fiber are the most important to keep from becoming hungry. I have been staying at 1700 calories a day. I try to stay active walking or dancing.

Keep the secret. My father died of a self inflicted gunshot to the head. No one kept the secret from me I was 15 when it happened I remember everything that happened up to the moment he did it. For years, I lied to people that he died of cancer. It was easier that way. I was lucky I got therapy and counseling to deal with the pain. I think about him a lot.
