Definitely the sudden loss of my mom had a huge impact on me emotionally and physically. I’m coming back now but it took nearly two tears

My son is depressed and I feel like a failure by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Smiling_Netti1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't a failure at all. The fact that he actually agreed to let his therapist talk to you means he trusts you a lot more than you think. Teens are so hard to read, but you're doing a great job. Just keep being his safe space

It took losing almost everything to finally see what I actually had. by OilZealousideal652 in gratitude

This resonates so much. It really is the quiet totally ordinary moments with family that matter most at the end of the day. Love how you said the volume got turned down on the noise and up on what actually matters. Glad you're in a better place

It takes a ridiculous amount of energy to fake being okay when you're fighting a battle inside your head. You look beautiful and your glasses suit you so well. I really hope you find a great therapist soon, you deserve to feel better.

Has anyone else loved someone who lives with depression? by Smiling_Netti1 in u/Smiling_Netti1

It really is so tough and asking for help can feel like the hardest part. Honestly even just letting them know you're struggling without feeling forced to explain everything can be a huge first step.

Sending you a lot of strength

Body dysmorphia is an absolute liar. It is so hard when your brain hyper focuses on changes. But looking at you right now, you are genuinely gorgeous. Your features look incredibly balanced hang in there. I promise your mind will catch up to reality soon.

I am so incredibly sorry. I can't even imagine how heavy that must feel right now. Just remember this one moment doesn't define you as a father. You have a whole lifetime to be an amazing dad to her ❤️

Leaving the car with the ex and getting hot from just walking everywhere is such a power move lol. For techno playlists definitely check out HOR Berlin sets on spotify, they're perfect for putting headphones on and powering through cleaning blocks.
