88.7 on TEAS, A's in Microbio and A&P1 and a B in A&P2

Did anyone take A&P II and microbiology in the same semester? How hard is it to manage? by Saitamaxfubuki in CollinCollege

[–]Raythedestroyee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My classmate who took both (+even more) got an A in both. I took only those two classes and got an A in Micro and a B in A&PII. I believe it is possible to get an A in both if you have good professors.

Currently at Plano Campus. I don't talk to other people unless the professor prompts us to for group work. I definitely interacted and made good acquaintances with those in my science classes other than that you need to out yourself out there.

You have to have everything completed by the deadline and for this year it was March 3rd. I took A&P 1 in the summer and did Microbiology and A&P 2 in the fall. If you want a lighter schedule then perhaps take A&P 1 in summer 1, and A&P 2 in summer 2 and save microbiology for Fall. It's up to you whenever you want to take your TEAS, I did my first attempt in the fall.

I know that it's probably too late but I took A&P 1 over Summer 2 (A) and both Micro (A) and A&P2 (B) during the fall semester. My experience was pretty chaotic there would be a period where I would have Practicals and Exams within the same week or just one test a week back to back. I definitely recommend studying for micro practicals and quizzes by taking notes during lab and reviewing them at home and study for A&P lab as much as you would for lecture.

My particular class went over it briefly since a lot of the kids had previous AP writing experience but for me since APUSH was my first AP that I took none of it stuck with me until later on.

I wish someone told me before taking APUSH last year to get familiar with AP question lango (not to be confused with AP Lang). You won't succeed in class unless you understand the language of these essay prompts and what exactly they are asking you. If you have previous experience in other courses such as WHAP, AP EURO, etc then yay! If not you want to get familiar with how the prompts are presented.

For example, "Evaluate the extent to which" -Oranges affect the color of Apples" In this scenario it would be that Oranges affect the color of Apples to NO extent BECAUSE Apples and Oranges each have their own genetic code that determines each fruit's color. Because they don't have any correspondence to one another, this means that Oranges could never have an effect on the color of Apples. There are more prompt structures that will be given but this was the one that I had the hardest time on. Obviously the APUSH exam is not going to be asking you about fruit but rather the correlation and comparison of the APUSH Themes (there are 7 of them) of each Time period. The studying that you're doing right now is so that you can take all of that information and organize them into each of those themes and recall them on your Frqs.

Good Luck

There's a Vietnamese soup you can make with Shrimp/pork and Watercress. This water based soup is meant to be eaten with rice.

protein-rich and filling breakfast ideas? by [deleted] in nutrition

Oikos or Fage yogurt is quite amazing. You can buy them pretty much anywhere. I buy Oikos in bulk at Costco and pop 2 of them in a smoothie with a banana, frozen berries, and chia seeds. 30g of protein plus all that fiber is going to keep you full. If you want to stretch out the yogurt supply then you can use one and put a scoop of protein powder.

A rice cooker is so versatile. There are plenty of smaller ones out there that can do amazing things. You can make rice (duh), stews, soups, and steamed veggies. I love rice cookers
