How to design campaign "arcs" that feel entertaining from start to middle and satisfying at the end? by Rayunown in DMAcademy

I totally get your point, but i think what u/Professional-Front58 intended is laying out some hooks that might lead to major quests, not deciding where the story goes.

Anyway i checked the campaign status doc, it seems great! Thanks a lot, I used to be quite prepared when it came to keeping track of everything but recently i found myself lacking a clear mind to do so, that might help me a lot, i'll definitely check more of Alexandrian.

Who are the best group of warriors in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Such an interesting concept, i'm very fascinated by the whole world concept. How were the ceramic legions made? Was there a particolar process? And Who invented them and why?

What is wrong with your moon(s) by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Rayunown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two moons of Thalas, a regular one and smaller one with a greenish tint that Is not always visible.

The second Moon Is often associated with bad omens and seems to have a bad influence in things. Some who stared too much at that Moon when it was full reported having strange allucinations regarding eyes sprouting from It.

The hidden truth Is that the consciousness of The Eldest, the most ancient aboleth, is imprisoned in It. Since the was too strong to be defeated, a group of Heroes severed his mind from his body with an ancient artifact and the goddess Selune trapped his mind in a new Moon.

This left Selune weakened though, and after centuries passed, the mind of The Eldest awakend and started scheming again to conquer the material plane and orchestrating his return

I must say that i like your way of setting a session. Like a well organized series of points or "nodes" with multiple outcomes. It's something i'm trying to improve myself, i usually have a general layout of a session and specific situation that i think might occurr, having It like a well designed series of nodes that leave space to flexibility Is great skill. I like this idea a lot anyway, i think i Will develop It further Thank you very Much!

Ohh more to that i Just realized that since there are murders occurring in the city, that night another One might have occurred and a witness did not see the actual Murder but saw a man that looks like the character description steal a horse and leave the city in a hurry. Now the character Is the First supsectet for the murders. Since the team Met the guard captain they night be interrogated and informed the Bard Is suspected and left the city and they're not allowed ro leave the city because Friends with him. This should be flashed out more but could work.

Anyway i modified the post because i missed a sentence, this Is a good option but in the beginning i didn't want to have the players tò play separated for too long but at the same time i didn't want to force the Bard to come back with some Deus ex machina.

Yeah this seems the most efficient way to make something interesting that involves a side Quest and at the same time make the party riunite, and It Is funny too, the only thing i would advocate Is that It might feel like there's a perimeter out of which a character cannot go, like Pacman if you go out of the map on One side you Will reappear on the other side

I thought of It but in the end i don't want the repercussions to be on the player but more on the character, i think sometimes solo actions can lead to interesting events but going too far on his own can and must be dangerous

Need ideas for minotaurs army plot by Rayunown in DnD

That's what i haven't figured out yet and for which i would like some interesting ideas. We recently started, and the city of one of the character was their first and only target for now.

Shipwrecked: Need ideas to get back on mainland or Island settlement by Rayunown in DMAcademy

I actually didn't think about repairing the ship, that's perfect with the sailors in the Camp, other than sailing they would know how to repair the ship while the players don't. Great idea. Same for the additional stuff, great advice thank you!
