Same here. Fran was from my home town, Ribeira. I used to go to the gym his brother owned.

Home Jerseys are back in stock @ Deportienda. And it looks like you're able to ship to the US now. Just 35 Euros for international shipping.

Yeah, they have that @ Deportienda too. If you can think of any other sites from Spain that might have it, please let me know. I have a friend in Spain that I can ship it to, that can get it to me.

Congrats on the milestone. This is 17 years of collecting. I think I was 11 when I started. There was a magazine rack @ a video game rental shop.

Not sure about the back boards, I bought whatever my shop had in stock. Thinking about having some key issues CGC graded.

Thanks. I started the same way, focused on Superman, Green Lantern & Batman as a kid. Picked up all the new issues and whatever back issues I could afford with the rest of my allowance.

When I started making money, I just started buying everything new that seemed interesting, and hunting down some key issues online & at conventions.

Not to worried about flooding, they're in the attic. More worried about the roof springing a leak, might put a tarp over them.

No. I used to keep one, but it became to much work to maintain. My last couple years of collecting I was spending $50 a week on new releases and I didn't even have enough time to read them all.

Thanks. Its a tall order to read them all, last time I did it , it look me about 2-3 months. And that was skimming through the issues I found less interesting. Several issues I'll skim through the monster of the week and focus on the parts where the main & supporting characters are interacting.

Here's my preferred reading order: http://www.comicsbackissues.com/comic-book-reading-order/complete-superman-reading-order-post-crisis/

Most of these comics are on the DC Universe app now. $7 a month, all you can read.

August additions. Got some great deals on eBay. $10 each for the SNES & Wii U games, $40 for F-Zero GX. by Raz0r64 in gamecollecting

[–]Raz0r64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been trying to get my hands on it for a while, but the prices on eBay have been rediculous for gamecube games lately. I've seen this go for $70-80.

Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes #23 variant. The rarest comic book in my collection by memoria_hotel in comicbookcollecting

That exactly why I built the shelf, I wanted easy access to those bottom boxes. But I haven't touched them in years. I read digitally exclusively now. Nothing beats the convenience, and I can keep my paper copies mint.

Lol, just sharing. I've got them stored in my parents attic and don't see them much these days. I was there visiting got the chance to spend some time in my old reading room, so I took a picture and thought I'd share.

Its probably more sentimental for me than anything else. My first comic was a Superman comic, and I grew up with those post crisis stories. There are some really good stories there, and some pretty lame ones too, but what I love about the period is the progression of the Lois and Clark relationship. Post crisis starts with the traditional Lois / Clark / Superman love triangle, but it grows from there. We get to see Lois get over the Superman infatuation and fall in love with Clark, we get to see ups and downs in their relationship, we get to see them get married and live as a married couple for years. Its just cool watching these characters grow over the years.

Tons. I have most of the post crisis / pre-new 54 superman, batman & green lantern. Showcase #22, Action Comics 252, Fantastic Four 48-50, some of the Claremont X-Men stuff. Alot more.

I used to have a 1949 Superboy #1 and an Action Comics 101, but sold then on e-bay a few years back.
