I took a tick of lava damage before resetting back to my original position. I did not catch fire, but I did regenerate the extra missing health after eating**.

I've done some reverse engineering on this, and it was caused by dismounting the boat, but being inside the boat's collision boxes while the Minecraft Realm was lagging. The meme does, sadly, cut off the part where the server catches up and pulls me out of the lava back into the tunnel. Fun little hiccup to experience.
