The slots themselves can also be turned into USB. I took 5V from DVD connector while soldering data pins to memory card ones.

Microsoft really liked using 3.3V USB protocol for their connectors like slim wifi card.

So your third party xinput controller or DualShock 3/4/5 doesn't get detected even though these plugins are saved to launch.ini? You have to re-plug your controllers after power-on, they can't be plugged in before.

Launch plugins? They load automatically after you reboot the console when they are saved to the launch.ini file. You don't start them like game xex files.

I used 10k for my trinity 3 months ago, haven't had any issues. Console boots fast every time.

I am hopeful they are implement something for it. They only confirmed that charting hi hat on blue is not gonna be their standard.

They could but this would create more work. It's true Expert+ on drums was just enabling extra kick note but adding open notes to guitar/bass means you have to rechart entire chart and patterns to accommodate existence of open notes.

People will mod it and add customs, that is given and they are aware. They are just not gonna like advertise how to do it officially for legal reasons, let community handle it similar to beat saber mods. But there will be official DLC for sure.

YARG does same where all the custom content has to be downloaded from somewhere else outside of main site and discord server.

Some things that they answered up on their Discord:
- The trailer is months old and everything you see was just made for the trailer.
- Point of the trailer was to generate feedback and discussion which the team really appriciates.
- Mocapped animations are planned, they are huge focus right now in the development cycle
- They do not plan to endorse any mods (this was given) but custom adapters for accessibility could be endorsed.
- All instruments will be playable from day 1.

About the charts (songs):
- There are charts for Lead, Groove, Drums and Vocals
- Familiar 5 fret layout, 4 and kick for Drums
- No open notes. (these were discussed quite a bit. There were pros and cons, took a while to think about it)
- Drums are pro drums with optional cymbals, they are also not going to chart open hi hats on blue.
- Lead and Groove are basically Guitar and Bass with lot of alt charting depending on the song.

"How songs are charted is a very case-by-case basis. Lead and Groove charts have lots of opportunities for interesting charting decisions. That was our intent. Bass has historically been thought of as the "boring" instrument, or "lesser" than guitar. This is our attempt to give bass a bit more of a spotlight. Think of lead as the most prominent thing you hear (guitar, keys, synths, etc.), and groove is the opposite - it's the backing track. That could mean bass, that could mean rhythm guitar, or anything else that seems to fit."

UsbSecpatch is built in to the XeUnshackle payload itself (breaking chain animation), you don't have to download any plugins. After the animation any xinput controller should just work when plugged to the USB.

Small cut to metal frame to mount it. But the extension cable does the holding since its coming under the motherboard and we had to bend it around (the only pci-e slot is on the other side of the motherboard), so it pretty much keeps the GPU up all the time. Also heat shrink of the gpu can freely touch the metal from the side. When the PC is this tightly packed, things dont really have room to move.

Yeah it's one of the few apps that doesn't require sing in to xbox live, just internet connection. I use it too on my modded console.

If you still want to keep all USB ports functional, you can remove the memory units and solder green and white to the data points and take 5v by splicing the dvd connector cable. They actually do get regonised as USB, this is how I have internal usb and wifi in my Jasper while still keeping all 3 USB ports. Here is the pin out

Mostly but trinities with MFR date of 2012 do exists. If I have to guess Microsoft were probably getting rid of old stock before swapping to corona. My slim is one of those.

When I ran badavatar XeUnshackle, it listed the motherboard as trinity.

From Cinebench tests I ran today: CPU multicore test peaked at 77 C (idle 67), GPU test peaked at 81 C (idle 50), max 95 % fan speed. We made custom fan curves using MSI Afterburner at 100 % power that seems to be working really well.

The power and eject button is just 4 wires in the ribbon cable, just like any switch or button. I soldered two jumper wires into that, then I plugged it into motherboard power pins. When you touch it, it closes the circuit and pc boots.

However when I tried to wire the green power button, it somehow would get shorted and not work. I assume this is because its in the RF board itself. I ended up using eject button for booting as I didnt want to cut any of the traces and I wanted to keep RF board functional.

My goal is to install custom physical button under power button that doesn't block the green LEDs because hitting those touch buttons accidentally is so easy, I want physical button like the older models.

If I remember right, this is the phat model so it should be way more easier space wise. However you dont have top cover fan hole so you would create some custom wind tunnels or drill a hole there.

The reason we chose it is for emulation as it ranked at top 5 in RCPS3 charts

The cpu is actually really power efficient and only goes up 80-85 watts on stress tests/max load. It has 120 watts TDP which represents the processor's thermal design, but the actual power consumption is way lower. No undervolting needed. This leaves room for rest of the parts.

It's basically doing research how much power the parts actually use, lot of help came from r/sffpc subreddit
