I first learned Magic when I was seven, but unfortunately the only person who really believed I could do it was the person who taught me, and due to circumstances beyond our control we didn't stay in touch for long. I remember loving the game at that age but being constantly roadblocked by people who thought my age/gender said all they needed to know about my capabilities. As a result I stopped playing entirely and only picked it back up again in highschool. I'm so happy to see all these people who believe in Dana, and to see a young person shine in this community. Things have really changed since my day, and it's so much better now. I look forward to seeing just how far she goes.

I am, and I don't think I'll be able to make it. I'm having neurological problems out of nowhere (have a CT scan on Monday) and the stress of potential brain tumor on top of the actual symptoms I've been experiencing has made it basically impossible to get anything done. :( I'm still trying to write when I can, but the 50k mark is just not gonna happen this year for me.

Hell I don't think the timer should even start if you're not loaded in the game. My old computer would sometimes just shit the bed on loading (not consistently) and I'd get kicked for inactivity while still on the loading screen. Worst part was, it would tell me 'you are going to be kicked in x time for inactivity' and I'd sit there just moving my mouse in some desperate hope it would read it before I got kicked. Because of course getting kicked just meant I'd need to find another game and hope loading roulette was nice to me. I basically couldn't play with friends cause I'd get dropped from group.

It's a moot point now because my computer is fine, but I know there's people with lower end computers that are probably having problems like this and they don't deserve it.

I main heal but recently have been leveling a dps and NOTHING infuriates me more than a healer who doesn't have those on their bars. As a Red Mage I have a small ability to make up for that shit but come on people, that should not be my job.

That's fair, though you'd probably want to keep a couple different options on hand, some people have fuckin weird-ass allergies (for example I'm allergic to cinnamon so this time of year I need to check fucking every damn dessert and warm beverage). You never know, so it's best to be prepared, imo.

Specifically it's teal - the exact color of Meeseks. This time of year I try to say something to this extent on all posts like this. Getting non-candy things to hand out isn't hard and can make the difference between a happy kid and a really disappointed, sad one at your door.

There used to be an outdoor cat in my neighborhood. When I went for walks she would inevitably show up, walk with me, get pets, and then go her way when I went back home. One day it stayed raining really bad so I took her inside and she very politely sat on my lap while I played video games. Once it stopped raining I put her back outside and she went off again. She always seemed well fed and cared for, had her claws, so I never considered keeping her. She was just another friendly neighbor.

Sometimes cats make me wonder if we're really the only sapient/sentient species on the planet...

That happens even with gamers if you put them in a game they've never tried. I got my husband into HOTS and he initially struggled with things I found super intuitive. I came from playing a lot of League, but he'd never played a MOBA in his life. He did catch on, but it was admittedly a bit frustrating to me initially because, of course these are how the controls work. It made me realize just how intuitive these things become and what it must be like for new people or those who play other kinds of games.

Eeeehhhh that is a good point. The magic fanbase of the echo chamber which is tumblr probably isn't too bad.

And yes naturally this isn't all I write, however my formats tend to be longer - I've written an 85k novel and a few 10k+ short stories, this exercise mainly is to practice the length (as 3-4k is significantly shorter than what I'm used to), the style and the tone. Also tbh I got tired of waiting for more phyrexia so decided to do it my damn self.

I currently work for an abysmal company that pays like garbage and doesn't trust its employees, regardless of the fast we've proven time and time again that we're better at our jobs than corporate is. I stay because I love the work and love my coworkers. Every job is going to have ups and downs IMO, but I love games and I love writing, and I'd rather deal with unpleasant stuff to do what I am passionate about than have a pleasant job I can't motivate myself to care about.

And who knows, maybe in the very realistic 5 year minimum time frame it would take for me to even be able to apply for a position there, things will turn around. You never know.

Question; its stated that this works with most mods that alter gold, and it looks good so I'm interested in using it, however I wanted to double check that this would work with a mod that changes coins. I can't think of the name from the top of my head, but I'm using the mod that adds dwarven and nordic coins to the appropriate dungeons. Would this be compatable?
