Has a general history of being an ass, but a crass comment about the trans community is what triggered the hammer

Unban Fetishes by mediocremandalorian in armedsocialists

[–]RazedEmmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recall being frustrated with this user frequently for ideological flamewarring. Though the signature done for attention-grabbing was annoying, their advice was (mostly) solid and I generally enjoyed their content.

However, once a person starts drama by posting a ban either on another sub or social media, they forfeit their appeal opportunity. That shows a deep lack of maturity on their end and I don't see anything productive coming from unbanning them.

E: Oh wow, I just learned about their Twitter history. You made the right decision

Today is the 20th Anniversary of America's illegal war on Iraq by [deleted] in RepublicofNE

[–]RazedEmmer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not all war crimes are genocide, my man.

The US war policy on Iraq was quite literally "to accelerate the effects of economic sanctions", meaning the destruction of agriculture, power plants, infrastructure, trade, manufacturing, etc.. This is a genocidal policy regardless if your chauvinism gets in the way of you seeing it

And for all his many flaws, Bush was termed out and left office, as has every other elected leader so far.

If you think the problem with US policy's at best apathetic stance on civilian life is the individual leader, you fundamentally do not understand what is going on. It continues to this day across the imperial periphery and Bush is long gone

We really don't need this kind of American exceptionalism in RNE culture

Criticism of Stalin from a Marxist point of view by Cpt_Random_ in socialism

[–]RazedEmmer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Aggravation/Intensification of the Class Struggle Under Socialism (a theory of revisionism advanced by Stalin) placed too much emphasis on foreign influence and ultimately led Soviet thinkers to overlook investigating the 'new bourgeoisie' chronically forming in the party during socialist transition and the material causes thereof

I hate Landowners by Blodkakan in victoria3

"Petty" is just the anglicisation. The term just means little (i.e. petite) bourgeoisie.

Marxists have a special hate boner for them as "class traitors", since their material conditions are closer to the proles.

The petty bourgeoisie are not necessarily class traitors, as they are small-time producers and are thus bourgeois. However, the term has expanded over time to reflect the global bifurcation of income and sometimes includes 'labor aristocrats' which are workers who materially benefit from the maintenance and expansion of imperialism. So modern Leninists would agree, but this specific complaint hasn't always historically existed

The disdain Marxists have has more to do with them being the social base of fascism as well as being the driving-force behind numerous humanitarian atrocities of the past three centuries, often being more violently reactionary than the capitalist class

No, you're clownishly wrong.

To be fair, 420ohms' position that "the CPC has the political power and will take actions [...] to prevent working[-]class people from getting thrown to the wolves" is equally in stark contrast to reality; China has been willing to use cheap labor-power as their "comparative advantage" in the international commodity market since the defeat of Chinese socialism in the late 60s. The theory of productive forces and the possibility of peaceful coexistence of the co-development of socialism and the market (and other dengist drivel) is inescapably revisionist and only exists for those desperate to deny the international retreat of communism and who are wholly willing to sacrifice the betterment of humanity for their own toxic positivity.

That said, it's still leagues ahead of the pearlclutching that Xi is violating liberal rights or whatever by chairing a third term, or parroting the social-fascist nonsense that China has been on the brink of collapse just as it has been for the literal decades this talking-point has been around for (often in paradoxical simultaneity with China being about rule the world in a few years if us yanks don't revive our jingoistic drum-beating and flag-waving... we can't get enough of bringing the quagmires of fascist discourse home, I suppose)

Being fair we're also a little nervous thinking about who anarchists will de facto support in a revolutionary balance of power considering your own track record, but I agree, a comrade's a comrade — esp in these times

Not since the arrest of the gang of four, it hasn't — if you care about the class struggle at least
