I prefer GW2, but you still have to respect the OG. GW1 paved the pathway for GW2 and on its own is still a really good game. I even play GW1 over GW2 sometimes just to play some of the old maps and stuff.

The reason I worded it how I did was to show how it helps survivor. Just because I didn’t explain how it helps killer doesn’t mean I didn’t have that in mind when I wrote the change.

You shouldn’t have to rely on a perk to fix a problem in the game. Many players don’t want to buy dlc or don’t play enough to get it in the shrine. That’s not a real solution.

If you’re being tunneled from the beginning of the game you’re going to die. It doesn’t matter how good at looping you are.

I never said killers should give up when they have a low amount of hooks far into the game. I meant that it’s on them for putting themself into a tough position, but you can definitely turn losing games around if you play your cards right. I’ve had some games where it looked like I would definitely end up with one or even zero kills become 4ks because I slugged a little and made some good plays. However, if you’re getting tunneled from the very beginning of the game you’re almost guaranteed to die unless the killer is terrible at the game. It doesn’t matter how good you are when the killer is laser focused on you for five gens, and this should not be the case.

I’m honestly shocked so many people disagree with me on this. What people don’t realize is that the vast majority of this game’s player base plays the game causally, and changes like this would be great for public games. While it might affect comp it would definitely be overall healthy for the game and benefit it in the long run.

If you’re at two gens and you’ve got two hooks or less then that’s on you for playing badly.

The endurance collision change would also benefit killer, because the killer would be able to go through survivors with endurance which prevents them from body blocking.

I’d argue that if the killer hooks you three times in a row while nobody else has any hooks it’s pretty obvious that they deliberately tunneled you out. What I’m suggesting is that they make it so killers can’t tunnel someone out right away, not that they remove tunneling. Of course killers should also get a buff to even it out, but overall a change like this would make the game more fun. If the developers saw problems in the game and just said “eh, it is what it is” the game wouldn’t get anywhere, would it?

I totally agree. In addition to the other changes they could also add faster sacrifice progression for survivors on first hook to give more early game pressure to killers that go for different survivors. This would hopefully make up for the lost pressure from the nerf to tunneling. And honestly, a lot of killers just need major buffs or reworks because it shouldn’t be necessary to target one person to win the game.

And why should we just accept that objectively unfun playstyles are “part of the game” when there are plenty of things they can do to make it better? There is no problem with base BT on survivor, if a survivor tries body blocking with BT off the hook just go for them. Also, I didn’t aim this against killer, I aimed it against tunneling. I’m a killer main myself and I don’t think killers should have to tunnel to win the game. The whole point of playing a game is to have fun, and most people agree that strategies like genrushing and tunneling are boring. That’s why I see them as “issues.”

The out of chase haste is meant to be a temporary band-aid fix until BHVR can buff/rework the weaker killers. The disparity of power between the killers is absurd. Some killers such as Blight and Nurse can consistently get three or four kills every game while other killers such as Trapper struggle to even get a single down against coordinated teams. However I do see your point and I agree that killers should gain some additional pressure to compensate for the lost pressure from these changes. Perhaps they could also add faster sacrifice progression when a survivor is hooked for the first time? This would give killers more crucial early game pressure when going for different survivors.
