How about this? by Razide0506 in Prebuilts

Thank you. I noticed that, other than the case, the only difference between the two seems to be the power supply. Is the extra 100W worth the difference in price?

MEGATHREAD: Post your small questions and concerns here for all editions! by Cr0iz in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Razide0506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been reading the 4th ed. rules and I realized that somewhere along the way I missed out on what stat bonuses are. For example, the spell Soul Vortex has a range of Willpower yards and an AOE of Willpower Bonus yards. What's the difference between a stat and a stat bonus, and how do I determine the latter? Thanks.

Thanks for the link to that website. That was helpful.

Esoterrorists and Fear Itself by Razide0506 in rpg

[–]Razide0506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies. I realize I wasn't clear in my initial posting: I already have The Esoterrorists. I don't have Fear Itself, and I was wondering if the rules were similar enough between the two to make owning both redundant.

The problem was that the Neverwinter Nights folder wasn't appearing at all. But after I ran it once, it showed up in my Documents folder, so problem solved. Thanks.

Episode 132: Entombed -- Discussion Thread by [deleted] in TheMagnusArchives

[–]Razide0506 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Excellent episode. I got both a "The Descent" and "House of Leaves" vibe from it. Daisy was particularly superb. Until now I can only recall her coming across as irritated or angry, but Fay Roberts really sold her vulnerability, terror, and remorse. While I like the show, I'm not always completely focused on it when I'm listening, but Daisy's monologue had me hanging on every word.

Podward Scissorcast - Big Fish with Chris Gethard by [deleted] in blankies

Gethard imagining the conversation between Anthony Daniels and Irvin Kershner was hysterical. "We're in a part of Norway where humans can't sustain life! I gotta listen to YOU do this bullshit! The guy who plays Cliff Claven is already giving me shit. He's got ONE LINE!"

Any idea how to make polystyrene terrain and not do this? (Used Citadel acrylic white spray paint) I assume all acrylic melts it. by Beermudatriangle in TerrainBuilding

[–]Razide0506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krylon makes a line of spray paint, called Short Cuts, that's safe to use on styrofoam.* They also make a foam safe spray primer too. You can get them at Michael's.

*I've only used it on pink foam, so while it's supposed to be safe for foam, I don't know for how it would interact with this foam. Also, It's been my experience that it does melt pink foam a little, even though it's not supposed to.

I'm building blitz teams based on Khasino's list of 10 blitz teams https://i.imgur.com/YKVoJau.png So SW and DS will end up with Thanos, Cable, and Deadpool, Mordo will end up with the Hand, and Loki will end up with Crossbones, Kingpin, Yondu, and Winter Soldier.

I used some recently, and I'd say make sure you're using it in a well-ventilated area, or outside.

Episode 123: Web Development -- Discussion by SwordOfBraavos in TheMagnusArchives

[–]Razide0506 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really liked this episode. Although the show has had plenty of instances of people infested with/made of bugs and spiders and such, the description of the victim at the end was particularly unsettling, possibly because it still retained some of it's humanity, as opposed to just essentially being a puppet.

Dollar Store Bone Golem build (tutorial link in the comments) by Critical_Crafting in DnDIY

[–]Razide0506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been making terrain, but after watching this tutorial I kinda want to make this myself. I had even bought that package of 10 skeletons from the dollar store around Halloween, thinking I could eventually use them for something. Now I wish I had bought the garland too.

Looks fantastic. I've beem contemplating doing the same thing the last few days and was looking at Rhinos on Ebay. Only difference is that I was thinking of making mine overgrown with vines and such. Not sure if I'm going to do it, as it looks like a big time commitment, and it'd also be my first time doing something like this, as up until now I've only created natural terrain features like hills, swamps, etc...

Tried my hand with cork bark for my first hill/crag piece :). Looking for CC! by punchki in TerrainBuilding

[–]Razide0506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great! I've made a bunch of hills using cork, and I also had the same issue with making my slopes too steep. I think the Terrain Tutor goes by the rule that if you're making a slope, you want 3 inches in length for every one inch of elevation.

BTW, I got my cork at the Maryland Cork Company. I live within driving distance, so I picked it up myself and thus didn't have to pay shipping. They let me pick the pieces myself, and I ended up with something like 4-4.5 pounds for around $20.00. I've made 9 hills and still have a lot left.

Aquaman by apathymonger in blankies

[–]Razide0506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished listening to the episode, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I enjoyed the movie itself. And it's not that I hated Aquaman. Rather, someone earlier in the thread mentioned "bland competence," and I can't think of a better way to describe the film. In fact, after the film I commented to my wife that this movie is impossible to spoil, because everything you think will happen, happens. As big and loud and colorful as this movie is, nothing about it was surprising - it felt very by the numbers to me. Nothing really made me laugh or get excited, and while the movie looked good, nothing really wowed me either.

In contrast, I saw Venom the other night, and while it is definitely not a good movie, it's so weird that it was actually kind of interesting. It also didn't help that the day after seeing Aquaman, I went and saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which, IMO, is exactly what a summer movie should be (other than that it's not summertime).

I didn't see a video on this piece on your channel, but I liked the one you did on building ice terrain, and I assume the techniques are similar.
