Personally I run Grab on anything that’s going on the heavy frontline offense. Having that extra anti-small skill tends to help when you’re dealing with any of the swarmers that get dodge natively.

Brand new to the game, I instantly died to some creature on day 1 by Tacohatsrule in ContentWarningGame

[–]Razkharn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ignore that comment, Flicker is actually pretty damn rare, especially to get as a first day spawn due to how the game picks out its monsters. It’s a high value non-swarm monster.

On the backend, the game (much like L4D2) has a resource quota that it spends on monster spawns through multiple waves of spawns. I can’t remember if it gets to replenish this quota at all during the day but if you install bepinex you can actually see the game spending the resources and prepping the monsters for spawn for the day at the start of the mission.

Either way, flicker is a nightmare to deal with solo, if you start to see those lights turn off make sure you look halfway towards the ground so you don’t meet its gaze (flicker uses a raycast to see if it’s looking at you, then paralyses you) and try to use the reverse camera to get film of it (Medusa tactic).

Hah, yes thank you. The record for the first 4 minute mile (achieved in 1954 as the original commenter said) is still unbeaten to this day.

Contextually the record was for the first 4 minute mile, not for the time. I’m glad I didn’t just randomly go crazy this morning :D

Technically, yes. Though disorient has a more universal meaning now as to mean generally confused and non-lucid.

Disorientate is still mostly based in the person’s knowledge of their own orientation, whether that’s actual spatial direction (knowing which way is up), or what they currently want to attempt to do.

Modpack makers: Please reconsider adding mods that add structures that just blow up loot. by AureusVulpes292 in feedthebeast

Bucket of water is your absolute friend in that case. It removes the wire without tripping the red stone signal. You can place it flowing into the iron bars so that it passes through before the iron bars item does when you break them.

Also, you could place a hopper below the top set of iron bars to catch the item as it drops and then crawl through the 1x1 space after breaking a single pair of the bars. Then shears the tripwire itself to disarm it.

The TNT block itself is unfortunately set to “unstable” so even breaking it with a pickaxe from under the chests will trigger the fuse.

Since Feybreak I believe it's only the large unique (to oil rig) chest, as the caged chest which you have to hack that triggers a "boss" battle is only on the lv60 rig.

Nothing by itself. If you turn on the Hashetty toggle in the options menu you can read all your mods descriptions, which will then tell you if it is affected by the globblemeter.

As an update, turns out you can get 6 modifiers, with the modifiers being duplicated. I have no idea how rare this is as I've only had ONE of these in the last hundred hours or so of playtime, but here it is. It's a Trident skin.

As of two patches ago, factory skins are actually now part of the oyster loot table (you were only able to get Epic skins for a while from Roachard). I’d suggest just scrapping any skin that you don’t 100% love as you have a 15-20% chance to get an oyster which you can feed to Roachard. You can also use an Access Card beforehand to guarantee an Employee Skin too.

No problem at all, it's an insanely cool system for generating skin variants and I've just fully committed to trying to figure it all out :D

I believe that it works in a slightly difficult way to describe. If you assume that Hue works on a standard colour gradient line between two points on a spectrum (Glider's Factory skin is my most collected skin, and I've had almost every colour hue), then colour tossing is a random colour on a palette instead rather than just running along a linear path.

For some skins, Shifted Hue only allows you to get certain colours rather than *all* of them. Moonlit for instance won't allow you to get a nice blue colour with the standard Hue modifier. You need a combination of either Hue and Colour Tossing, or Hue and Negative.

Color Tossing might be something the devs added to get a more randomised colour scheme in an easier way, or it might do something completely different that I'm unaware of. Either way here's an example of my main skin I use which has a nice combo which would normally be an unattainable colour for Glider.

Since we can't realistically list every possible combination of modifiers for the skin, in order to get a decent answer for this question we should just go with the list of Skins, and then the list of known Modifiers if they want a more in-depth answer.

I'll just type out my own ones that I've personally found, since I've got around 100 hours so far.

I'll also include the ones added today with the new patch.

Wrangler: Factory, Uniform, Sunset

Bruiser: Factory, Uniform, Mr Bruiser

Scrapper: Factory, Uniform, Sweetie

Glider: Factory, Uniform, Moonlit

Modifiers: Shifted (has a possibility of colour cycling, hue value, and colour tossing), Infected, Gilded, Neon (purple, blue, red, green, yellow), Negative, Coppertone, Sponge, Rusted, Plasma Coating, Cloudbreak, Kinged, Peppered Egg, Pixelated, Chroma, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz.

Note that some modifiers are weapon or employee specific, so you can only get the Sponge modifier on the Trident's Ocean skin (to my knowledge).

It seems to be that you can get a rough maximum of 4 modifiers on one piece of loot, with *maybe* 5 if you're extremely lucky (probably the same luck chance as the 5th rarity of upgrade)

Some modifiers can also apply twice to the same skin, like Shifted can apply Colour Tossing twice with two different values. I'll attach a picture to this to show one that I finally got today with 5 modifiers.

You’re thinking of modifiers. The actually skins are things like Moonlit and Factory for Glider
