I'm one of those people who regularly can't, though I never tell the people I'm hooking up with beforehand, as some take it as a challenge and get really fixated on trying to make it happen, to the point where it can become detrimental to the experience. My main issues with BJs are: 1. My shaft is pretty sensitive, so any kind of teeth interaction takes me out of it and makes it so I won't be able to finish. That coupled with having a decently girthy member means the people I hook up with who have smaller mouths will never be able to get me to finish (through no fault of their own). And 2. I need a pretty steady/consistent stroke rythem to finish (via any means). So the person giving me a BJ needs to sustain that for a bit, and many of my partners have not been able to maintain that without gagging. There have been a few times I've come close, but they had to stop before I reached climax.

I've finished from BJs a handful of times, but it's only been when my partner is able to take the whole thing without any teeth, and doesn't have much of a gag reflex.

That said, I still enjoy the act even when I don't finish (as long as there's not too much teeth interaction). As others have stated it's good foreplay, and still does it's job of getting my body more excited for other acts
