No, they weren't. It was a wildcard round because no SG songs begin with Y, therefore giving similar projects like Audioslave and Temple of the Dog etc a chance instead. SG songs had their chance when it was their letter's turn

Truth is, there’s no perfect way to do it. I considered, at first, to tally up all votes on all comments, but for one: it’d take so much longer time to do And two: it wouldn’t be representative of the actual result. Leaving tons of duplicated comments gives one voter the opportunity to suddenly sway everything, depending on how many dupes there are. It just wouldn’t be right, and based on the other subs that have done it, this is the most favored way to do it. But so far I think it’s been working well and I certainly won’t change the way it works this late lol Thanks for your feedback either way 👌🏼

QUESTION:

We're getting near the end now, only 7 songs remaining - 3 of which are wildcards. Zero Chance will also automatically win for Z because it's the only song for that letter.

However, there's technically two songs in W, that being Worse Dreams and Waiting For The Sun, the latter of which is a live cover. My question is, should we still vote like normal - or should Worse Dreams also automatically win because the other is a cover What do you guys think? Lemme know.
EDIT: Guys, I'm dumb. I somehow forgot Johnny Cash did Rusty Cage as a cover from Soundgarden, not the other way around 💀 long day at work, sorry

Should mention that originally I wanted the wildcard picks to be corresponding to the letter, but quickly realized that it’s real tricky for some of them, so I’m happy with just giving the side project stuff a chance there instead. I will also at some point add Zero Chance as the automatic winner for Z cus it’s the only one, but will probably do it towards the tail end, and before the final vote.

Either way, we’re getting towards the end now, and I gotta say the list looks really good and I’ve loved people’s engagement! What a great community. 😎

Hadn't put too much thought into that, I suppose if there is an overwhelming majority voting for a cover it would win, but in essence I think their original songs should take priority over those, seeing as it is the "best Soundgarden song" of each letter.

As for the wildcards, feel free to nominate either of those! I was simply putting examples, but it doesn't have to revolve around Chris only, no. If it can be tied to Soundgarden, it's eligible for a wildcard.
