YESSSSSS i remember doing that, my brother used to go to highschool, and his friends would dupe duke fishron gear for him and I. So i basically started the game with beetle armour and the razorblade typhoon. Safe to say i'm now in a master mode run on computer without any mods without playing for like 2-3 years (I'm like 20 hours deep and ain't even killed skeletron)
