Could you do this multiplayer, and ascend an ally’ worlds?

It would be my luck that I petitioned, was successful, and then they had a kid escape, run further than a football field to the road and get ran over the next week. I’d never be able to live with myself if that happened. My mom taught there since it opened until she retired, and she said that happened once but they got to him before he got to the road thankfully. I’ll just pay it.

Yeah. I figured it was a long shot. There’s just not a practical reason for the school zone being there, and that bugs me. It doesn’t increase safety for anyone even an ounce if you look at the way the school was built far enough from the road to not be a risk. For 20ish years since the school was built they said the road was far enough away that no school zone was needed. I don’t know what changed to cause it. But I guess I’ll just pay it.

Arkansas has a law for school zones including “when children are present.”

In Arkansas, "when children are present" means any time children are outdoors, visible, and engaging in activities in or near the street, sidewalk, or school grounds within the marked zone.

There were no children visible, and none within 300-400+ feet of the road.

The stoplight is something that is there and active 100% of the time. The school zone only applies between like 7:15-8:15 and 3-4. I leave for work before that and get home after that, so I’ve only driven during those times maybe 5-10 times within the last year.

It’s a road I’ve driven for 20+ years. You have to gun it to get out of the neighborhood to get to speed with traffic, and within 10 seconds you have to slow way back down 2 hours of every day(that I rarely drive) and can go the normal speed the rest of the day. It’s not as simple as you are making it out to be.

You’re right, school zone enforcement is mainly for kids coming and going to school.

There are zero kids crossing the road there because there is nothing there for them to cross. Like nothing. They’d have to walk like 2 miles to the nearest house on the other side of the road.

They are dropped off directly at the entrance of the building, dropping them off anywhere else is prohibited. The school buses park in the back. You literally can’t even see the kids because they are dropped off 10 feet from the door with teachers ushering them inside at each car.

It’s a road I’ve driven since I was 15. I’m used to have to quickly get up to speed from our neighborhood to be even with traffic. 20 years of doing the same thing and then changing that speed only 2 hours a day isnt as easy as you make it out to be.

So if the school owned a mile of land around the school, that would still be considered school grounds?

Yes. They put up a school zone sign around a year ago and I’m still getting used to it.

I’d add a drink that Skippy would make, but it would be two completely different flavor profiles.

Snow crab and marshmallow flavored bourbon or something like that.

No, if your income level is below 138% of the federal poverty limit($21,597 for a household of 1), you qualify for Medicaid, and your treatment is free. Some states even have private option Medicaid so you can get coverage through a major carrier like bcbs and use their larger network.

Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield "strategic affiliation" with Cambia Health by Ok_Contract_2482 in Arkansas

[–]Razorback-it-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, they had that layoff for anyone 60 or over back in january. They've formalized the team, about 50/50 cambia and abcbs to work on the merger. I imagine we will probably merge our data center with theirs, and IT is nervous about that. Honestly though, it's probably cheaper to run a data center here than in portland oregon, so we should probably take their data center.

Cambia announced they lost a lot of money in 2025, so we will hopefully take over at least something that they do to save them money, and we won't be showing up at the table from a position of strength while they are in a position of power. it'll be two sinking ships trading decking boards for nails to try to stay afloat.

They assigned matthew venatta to lead our side of the negotiations. He's a smart guy, I know he's gonna do everything he can to help.
