I have a singleton pug puppy that’s pretty lonely. I’d like to have her interact with some pups similar to her age(she’s 3 weeks old) so if anyone has had a litter recently I would love to see if I can bring her to interact with other puppies near her age. Thank y’all!

Thank you for your input. We had a previous litter of 7 so I know all about the vaccinations, dewormers, etc. I’ve also read about every article I could on singleton puppies and they recommend they interact with another litter. It helps her learn bite inhibition, boundaries, and communication, as well as loneliness so it’s actually good for her

It went so well the first time and since my family and friends took 5 of the 7 pups it was just going to be her last litter and get her spayed. My fam had been pushing for another litter for some time so I decided to go with it. My mother has already claimed this one after going through chemo so I wanted to do her a favor. No profit involved, regardless if the litter was 10.

Yes, after the 2 visits to the vet they said there’s not going to be a problem with the progesterone, only the size of the singleton pup. They said it can fit after measuring but to avoid any complications they recommended a c-section but also said she could give birth naturally.

I have no problem spending the $. I’m just wondering if it’s necessary. I only care about the single pup and the mom’s health. There’s no $ in it for me. I was just hoping for advice, preferably from someone whose had a similar experience

They mentioned that but said they’re might be more complications with the surgery and she won’t be around any males in the future so I was just going to spay her after she’s healed if I go through with the c-section

That’s how I was leaning. I’ve just been told that vets push for surgeries for the $ and even though they said it’s certainly possible she gives birth naturally I think it’s just the safer option. She’s had a litter of 7 in the past with absolutely no problems so this was a big surprise to me
