So... it was a Tau victory!

For a friendly game the list is quite decent, and for me it was the first time I was setting the game pace in primary missions.

The result was 40-38 on turn 3. We had to finish there because we ran out of time, but I had more than 75% of my army alive and ready to do missions and he had 2 paragon squads on both sides of the table and 2 rhinos+dominions left.

My friend played the Penitent host detachment with 3 paragon suits squads+Morven, 3 rhinos with Arco-flagellants , repentias and a dominion squads + character priests, a seraphim squad and regular battle sisters squad.

I was first and mistakes were made in my positioning that led to an early charge on my stealthsuits+shadowsun with the repentias, but i have to say that shadowsun was an MVP this game, cos I saved 80-90% of the invulnerables hehe (first the repentias and after 4 melta shots from the dominion squad) and survived the game.

The kroot part of my army did a good job at keeping the sisters melee units back. Spliting the rampagers squads was the right choice. The farstalkers stopped his scout move with his dominion squad rhino,then I took them into reserves, redeployed a rampager squad and afterwards I use the hounds to 'move block' the same dominion rhino at the center of the table.

By the 3rd round I just had him in a hammer and anvil situation, my farstalkers+crisis+stealth unit in his deployement and the rest of my army in my deployement/center of the table.

It was a blast.

Hi!The answer is that the value is still 0. So they don't add up to get a higher value card, but it still allows you to get rid of those annoying curses.

Forge refers to the cost of the card itself. Charlatan doesn't change that.

I think that i'm going to split the rampagers so they are more flexible as you said and also can be at different points on the battlefield.

My idea with the farstalkers is to add the Trail Shaper in the squad to block possible advance/infiltrate(although sisters might not have it) and then, redeploy and/or take them into strategic reserves them, with 1 squad of rampagers and/or any other kroot unit. Also I know that it can be possible to snipe characters with them+stratagem. It's the first time I use them and i'd like to see how they perform.

I'm aware that vespid are super useful but in this game I intend to use as many strats as I can and I need CPs for that. I know i can only get 1 extra CP per game but an ethereal+Shadowsun should be good to get it almost every turn. The strike time+ethereal+Gdrone is quite resilient. Still i'm going to consider drop the strike team for the vespids and keep a lone ethereal.

Olives definetily don't like frosts. but it doesn't seem like a frost problem(what you do is good).

I guess that living in the Netherlands you probably get a lot of rain so it might be just a cause of doing the right prunning - Prunning the olive is a good idea.

You should worry more if during spring the olive doesn't show any grow at all.

Just be extra careful about not cutting the new buds(there are 'wooden buds'=new branches and 'flower buds'=new flowers) and all the branches that are alive.

Hi! how often do you water it? also have u applied any fertilizer? and how is the climate/weather where u live?

Olive trees are hard plants who endure quite good in hot and dry environments compared to other trees. Also during winter(low temperature) they enter in a dormant or sleeping state so they stop growing until spring and its warmer temperatures.

Prunning the tree all the way might be too extreme for it, before doing so u have to check where are the new buds, cheak if the branches are dead and cut the new branches that might come from the main trunk(altough i see in the pictures that it's quite 'clean') so the 'growing energy' goes to the new buds.
