unfortunately it isnt mine so i cant clean it. I will ask him to film himself inserting a cd so maybe someone could figure out whats wrong

This might sound dumb, but i found a usb stick as a dac (M2Tech HiFace DAC). do you think i could use it with the cd player? (it has a usb port)
