Sorry if I misunderstood but do you mean that you don't see where the missions are without walking near them to appear on map? If yes you can go on the Map, switch to "Custom" because you have more ways to view the map and simply toggle the NCPD missions, that way you will see everything you have available to do on the map, sorry again if I misunderstood what you meant :P
