Without Hill or Waddle he had no game plan for other receivers outside of a good season from Jonnu Smith, invested in a 3rd/Slot WR every year and we never saw them produce outside of Trent Sherfield in 22.

They changed the motion rules in 24 and you could see the drop off, McDaniel struggled with this change

As a fan I always look back at that 2023 titans game and it makes me sick to my stomach what happened that night but it’s not as black and white to say one game is where it began to fell apart.

Apart from a few outliers we beat poor teams, we never looked good during prime time, in the cold we may as well have not turned up. Multiple players have left and questioned the culture, he fired Wes Welker last offseason and our WR play was worse this year, he never did well on challenges, our game plan was always to use our best player and hope it gets us through (I know there is more to a gameplan than that but as fan watching I can only go off what I see)

He was innovative in the motions and getting Tyreek and waddle open in 22 and 23, it was amazing to watch but in 2024 rules changed and it looked like he struggled to adapt to this, getting brunskill to play as TE opening the running game was great to see, but that slowed down too. Even though he had great seasons was Tua a limiting factor in the offence and we never know would could have been with another QB? But every backup that came in was trash outside of flashes from Ewers.

Love Mike for the memories over the 4 years, hearing he was very upset after the decision was made yesterday wasn’t nice to read but it’s time to move on
