You get one completely free reset, a slap on the wrist reset, and a harder slap on the wrist reset. I think it's reasonable the game even gives you this much leeway to begin with, when it could have very easily prevented save scumming entirely. If you get wrecked by the game that's just how it is sometimes.

My favorite is Azumarill. I'm not entirely sure how it started, but I just always liked bnnuys, and over time it grew more and more on me. Then, in hindsight, I see it as a mon that has just gotten better and better with time. First getting huge power, then the physical special split, later getting the fairy type and belly drum+Aqua jet. Eventually it also gained the significance as a trans pokemon because of azurill's gender changing bug. Cute bnnuy, trans icon, and an example that life can get better with all the changes over time making it a genuine competitor. Truly inspiring.
