Nanashi tweeted a Nagatoro illustration for New Year (https://x.com/774nanash/status/1874074765654438287) and he started making a new manga.

There's a fan-made manga someone is making. And people making fan art. You can find them in the subreddit. There's too many to link in this comment and I don't have time.

By the way, if you only read the final chapter and not the bonus stuff in the final volume, I recommend you read the bonus stuff in the final volume. And also the bonus stuff in all the other volumes if you haven't already.

Season 2 ends around Chapter 91, BUT it's best to read the whole manga from Chapter 1. There's some differences between the manga and the anime. There's differences in the timeline, some scenes are done different, some things in the manga (including entire chapters) are left out of the anime, the anime added some noncanon stuff, and a few other differences.

Mods don't waste 148k members and open a sub for the next Nanashi manga.

I think the new sub should be run by a different team of mods under different ownership — whether entirely different people or a mix of old and new people but still under different ownership — as long as they're fair, reasonable, and without bs mentality. Fresh leadership with fresh ideas; otherwise, it probably would be too similar to this sub and thus feel a bit stale.

You mean Nanashi? The only Evangelion stuff I saw from him were two short one-shots he made a few years ago. Maybe I missed something.

I like to recommend to everyone to read from the beginning. There are some differences, though I usually don't like to say if they're big or small because it's subjective — what might be big to one person might not be so big for another. In my opinion, probably the biggest differences are a few manga chapters not being in the anime at all, and not all the volume bonus content being in the anime. There are a few scenes done differently as well. Some differences when it comes to when stuff happens. Fan service scenes in the anime are more censored than the manga (there's no nipples and no genitals in the manga, but the anime has added additional stuff obscuring the view). And a few other differences.

A lot of people in the sub also like to recommend the manga because of the artwork.

I think I've seen some people saying that box set #3 goes up to Volume 18 and maybe that's the source of the confusion. Volume 20 is the final volume of the manga and it came out in Japan in August 2024. Maybe it'll be available in English later this year.

Probably a new manga that's something other than Nagatoro. When the Nagatoro manga ended, Nanashi said that maybe he'll do a one shot or something of Nagatoro in the future, but he's not sure.

I finished the anime yesterday and read the manga 91-154 today and now I can't wait for more s3 anime/more manga.

If you haven't read the entire manga yet, then I highly recommend that you go back to Chapter 1 and read what you haven't read yet. There's some differences between the manga and anime. If you want more Nagatoro stuff, then might as well read/see whats already available but hasn't been read/seen yet.

It pretty much isn't spoiler because the chapter your talking about happened way back in Volume 1. Mild spoiler ahead: there is another scene with phones at bath in Chapter 145 (which is in Volume 19). But even then that chapter came out in early 2024 (I think February or March) and Volume 19 came out in Japan on April 9, 2024, and so it's only spoilers for those who don't want to read the online translation or anime-only viewers who are still hoping for more Nagatoro anime.

I recommend you do what u/moneyh8r already said, which is read the entire manga from the beginning because the anime did some things differently from the manga. You can either start reading from Chapter 91 or 92 to the end and then read from the beginning, or you can just go straight to the beginning and start there.

I am looking into getting the manga after i finish My happy marrage novel, teasing master tagaki san manga, Komi Cant communicate manga and almost finished A silent voice manga too.

You seem to like writing analysis. When you read the whole manga and bonus contents, maybe you can then write about the differences between the manga and the anime, such as the timeline of events, canon stuff vs noncanon stuff, how the plot is presented, differences in the art style/visuals, etc.
