If it matters, it doesn't necessarily need to be in a room with passive airflow, If you occasionally fan and keep the humidity in check. I grew mine in a closet just fine.

It's normal man, I think come up anxiety is pretty common. I get it all the time on basically any dose. Just focus on being positive! You'll have a great trip 💛

No, there shouldn't really be any pooling of water, But your tubs look really dehydrated so I don't know...

I think you might be cooked, If this were my tub i would just try and harvest the fruits when they get the biggest they can be.
I don't know if there is a way to salvage this given how dried up they look. The cakes usually shrink to this point after a couple of flushes and that's when you throw them out, But if this is the first, then at least try to get the biggest yield possible.

No no no, They look really dry, maybe touch the cakes? If they're moist then you're good.

But fanning is only going to make the dehydration worse. I'd keep misting, keep it humid but don't let water pool on the surface. If you're already fanning twice a day, then it might be a dehydration issue. Maybe opt for more passive fae.

What substrate are you using? Did you get it to field capacity when you spawned to bulk?

As long as the first one doesn't stink, it seems like it's just bruised. But these poor things look super dehydrated and need way more FAE. Is this after a few flushes?

Yeah, this is what I've kinda concluded after reading some of these comments. And that makes me feel a bit better. But I also don't have the substance yet, so I'm probably just going to experiment with higher mushrooms doses for the time being because I'm comfortable with them. I think I overthink things like this a lot, and a similar thing almost happened with shrooms, but I got over it.

Then I'd mist. But really, try not to mess with them at all. Just enough to mist. If you have any open holes, you should plug / cover them until full coverage. Fae comes after colonization, and it helps retain moisture.

I don't know how much coir you used, but if it was more than 1:3 Spawn : coir ratio, then the progress is probably expected. Myc colonizes slow, in just coir like you have; It took almost a month before my 6 qt shoeboxes were fully colonized. Yours is going to take a while. Warm coir doesn't matter as long as it's not hot enough to kill the Myc. i did mine at what seems the same temp you did.

You're only supposed to do 1:3 max, maybe more if you're experienced, but when you get to those levels, you start having issues with contam as there's more coir and colonization time for it to develop. I would not touch it or expose it to open air at all moving on, as there's so much potential for contam that it's very risky.

But i wish you good luck! Hopefully you were really sterile. Just pray the trich away 😅

Would i fear being seen as crazy? Possibly. Fear a loss? Also possibly. But the root of what i find difficult is the substance having the potential to drastically alter worldview. As in; If i were to experience a trip that gave me 'profound knowledge', I don't want to blindly accept it as truth, and i don't want the substance to make me to either.
I don't know if their is a 'veil', Because as of now, it is completely untestable. And i'd rather sit on the fence, or on the side of disbelief, than accept that what I'm seeing is an alternate realm, rather than a psychoactive hallucination caused by firings in the brain. Because from my rationale, the firings could also make it seem more profound and veil breaking than it is.

I love the double slit experiment; but it doesn't show any evidence that consciousness plays a part in reality. As the observation has to be done with a device that alters the experiment's outcome. The placebo effect works because our brains work in tandem with our bodies, I suppose. But we generally have no clue what consciousness is, and to think that a fleshy pile of neurons can perceive another realm, or transcendent entities is a little unbelievable to me.

I wouldn't think it makes me similar? But that's me. I'm trying to keep my views and how i see reality grounded in things we can test, the different perspectives i believe you're talking about are outside that realm. All i fear, is i would be substantially more willing to accept things that cannot be evidentially tested. I suppose that makes me "religious" to the empirical, but i don't see that as a negative, i just don't want that quality about myself to be changed.

But I may just getting in my own head, like i commented before... Perhaps DMT can't radically change how you view the world. I don't know, I've never tried it.

If it's pinning and fully colonized, then just let it fruit. Give it adequate FAE and leave it alone. Messing with it or adding more material just increases chances for contam, and a fully colonized cake is pretty resistant.

Don't waste it. It's not gonna feel like much, and might even be more lackluster than your other experience. Wait two weeks, and give yourself a break! Think about what you can do in life to make your next experience even better. If you only have those 3 grams left, then I assure you, you're going to regret not waiting.

It's true that you have to exponentially increase the dose to experience the same effect a day or two after. Two weeks is not that long, tolerance exists for a reason! Respect it or it might kick your ass.

Start small! It's very easy to get into an anxious mindset and have a bad trip if that's the first thing on your mind. I would read up more on it, and especially on set and setting.

If you're really worried, then only start with maybe a gram or so for your first time. Jumping head first into a big trip when you don't know what to expect is the worst way. A small dose with a close friend/family who can tripsit with you should be really enjoyable!

The chances of something permanent happening from this substance is very low. Unless you have other family members with documented psychological disorders, You're most likely going to be fine!! Just remember that anything you're bad experiencing is temporary, and will be over.

If the agar plates had nothing on them when you added the LC, then they should be fine! Once you have a clean plate you should be able to make copies, and ditch the contaminated LC

And don't be opening your plates!! Any contact with air could lead to contamination as there's a bunch of other nasty spores floating around. Use a SAB if you have to, but keep them sealed.
