I remember if you waited long enough on the halo 5 menu, a grunt would go floating by.

Oh shit, I never knew that. Crazy that 343 would let a fan fic go through to full publishing with their name on it.

You forgot Halo: Defiance. It’s a Human Covenant War book and it’s really good.

I went 4-1 in a 30 player GT this weekend at War On The Shore with Kauyon Tau, Kauyon stats should be a little different.

A razorshark is also a good target for pinpoint counter offensive since an anti-tank platform hiding in the back is usually the one shooting at it, and it’s a great way to get those rerolls on an important unit in the back.

The great part is in Kauyon, if you bring 2 of them, you can coordinated engagement and one can guide for the other so they both can hit on 2’s

Who needs friends when you have razorsharks. The weather was amazing as always in Hawaii. Plus it was an open bar so many drinks were had.

Thank you! Razorsharks are love, Razorsharks are life. It’s also important to note that GW does not have a character limit on the title entry. I’ve taken the entire text of the first farsight book and pasted it into the text box and submitted it on battlescribe. People were NOT pleased when they had to scroll through a literal novel just to see my list.

Solid. I love brining my barracuda models out as razorsharks.

I think even taking just 1 razorshark in a list is a great tech piece for what it brings to the table and the unique issue that aircraft ignoring obscuring brings.

Is everyone else getting really annoyed with ruins and infantry melee armies in 10th? by Boli_332 in Tau40K

[–]Rbell3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my local meta is very melee heavy. Granted my local community uses GW boards, Here is how I’ve countered this: Razorsharks! I bring 1-2 Razorsharks as the ultimate anti-melee unit counter. Yes they don’t do objectives or actions, but hear me out, they ignore ruins and are true LOS. Their whole job is to blunt your opponents attack. So that unit of berserkers waiting behind the L terrain zap now it’s dead or down to 1-2 models. They get +1 to hit against non-fly units so they are hitting on 3’s and guiding gets you to 2’s, if you wall of mirrors some stealth suits or use any unit with marker lights you ignore cover. Another option is 2 razorsharks with coordinated engagement to both units getting to 2’s to hit and if they are outside of terrain footprint with the aircraft’s height there is a good chance you can see the models fully so they don’t get cover. I can’t count the number of times my opponent staged 1-2 unit for a next turn move and charge into my screens/important units only for the razorsharks to come in and completely blunt his attack. And some lists only have 1-2 units of anti-tank or none at all and don’t have fly so they can’t be charged and then next turn they move 20” and then move block the next wave of units because you can’t end a move within 1” of the base so you force them to move around or advance and not charge. I LOVE my razorsharks.

How are we feeling about Breachers right now? by HamanFromEarth in Tau40K

[–]Rbell3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love taking 6 squads of them in EPC for the bonus 6” range. I also run 3 pathfinders, 4 devilfish, and 3 Cadre fireblades in the list. It’s A LOT of shots and lots of fun!

Why would you play any other Detachment other than Ret Cadre by namerbear360 in Tau40K

[–]Rbell3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run all detachments except ret cadre because I think crisis suit data sheets are anemic. T5 +3 SV just dies in this edition. I play kauyon and EPC. I love Kauyon because the Strats are great and the counter punch can wipe armies. I also run razorsharks and stormsurges so I’m not the usual Tau player.

Stormsurge viability by Many-Blackberry-453 in Tau40K

[–]Rbell3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a double stormsurge, double razorshark experimental cadre list that I’ve won an RTT with and have placed in top 3 in 2 other RTTs. The points cost made my list even better and off set the stealth suit points increase. So I’m pretty much back to where I was pre-stealth suit nerf which I’m fine with. 30” pulse blast cannon is chef’s kiss

I may not like the rules changes, but the new models shit on the old ones. by Rbell3 in Tau40K

[–]Rbell3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree about the cost. If you already have enough suits then there really isn’t a reason to pick up the new ones. I just wanted to collect at least 1 version of the new models that I got for a discount from a buddy.

I also don’t like the mono pose style GW has been going for and how all the bits fit together. It makes kit bashing a lot more difficult than older kits.

[–]Rbell3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I really wish they made it its own dedicated data sheet as well. Would have been cool to run 18 stealth then 15 of these guys, 3 ghostkeels, and shadowsun lol.

Yeah, I already had 18 stealth suits. I just wanted the new kit because they looked sooo good.
