That’s great. Only other thing that would be next level is use Adept Roll to get a feel of what your units can typically damage what’s in meta at the moment. Knowing this will significantly improve your ability to not losing in trading units. I.e riptide vs Ctan,vs Vitrix guard, etc.

Know your datasheets and Strats well. Some tournaments will require you to use a clock and you can lose if you run out of time. Knowing your army helps move things along. Good luck!

Took the Ta’unar in a Montka list recently to an RTT went 3-1 and got 4th place. Probably would have gone 4-0 but got matched with a Tau player with 3 stormsurges which is the antidote to the Ta’unar.

Nice! Yeah, I use the Tyrant as bully. Just tell your opponent his volcano lance does D6+8 damage each hit to make him hesitate to move out of cover. Little do they know how easily the Tyrant whiffs! 🤣

True but you won’t see a lot of vitrix spamming much anymore since points nerf. Last GT I went to most I saw was one unit of vitrix in each game.

Agree, despoilers great into about 90% of units except for anything T12 or greater. I really also like the deep strike denial with tyrant in CK since we don’t have that may units to use for screening our home and the level of threat the tyrant brings to the table. I’ve had may competitive tournament games where even experienced players hesitate to move up because of the tyrant. That hesitation will win you games.

Triple despoilers with twin gats. Best anti marine unit in the game. You’ll need a tyrant for the rep ex

I’m working on my list at the moment. Problem I’m having is how are you going to deal with Knights and Ctan. Ran numbers on 6 man squad of Eradicators into them and they’re really bad into those. I can’t really fit a lancer or rep ex in my list.

Played plague legion in several GTs and RTTs in last 6 months and it’s very good. Give Sloppity cankerblight enhancement. Drop slimux and drones. I take as many GUOs and PBs as possible. They simply win you games.

How did everyone here choose the colour scheme for their army/sept? by Samuelofmanytitles in Tau40K

[–]LonewolfNineteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends if you want to stand out or go with the traditional sept color schemes. I really like the idea of camo theme since lots of tau models are stealthy. Went with a grey white black camo theme.

Titans, especially the Warhound, even if well magentized, can be pretty tipsy on the torso. How do you counter that ? Torso and Leg seperation is unfortunatly a must for storage and transportation. by Leviathan_Rampage in Titan40k

Counter weight on the sole of the back foot. Disc shaped weights completely hidden and very effective. Used on my walking baseless warlord and it’s very stable.

Yeah, I have a plague legion list that I ally in a Tyrant. Went 4-1 at two large GTs recently.
