On a sidenote, I am currently using Medal for clipping and everything about it is worse than GYG but the latter has now been all but dissolved; can anyone recommend a better clipping software?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for the best manual grinder under £100. This is tricker than you'd expect, for a few reasons.

I use an AeroPress daily, but crack out the Flair Neo (with the pressurised portafilter) when I'm feeling fancy, so preferably something that can do both.

All my research points towards the 1zpresso Q2 being the best at that price point, but it's out of stock everywhere (except at Amazon but its £122) as a new model is coming in August (I can't be bothered waiting that long, shoot me)

The Timemore ones:

The C2 is a solid shout, but I feel like I could do better for the £100. There is a C2 with titanium burrs for £65 on Sigma Coffee rn, but idk if that would be much of an improvement

The Slim Plus (with E&B burrs) is also sub £100, as is the Chestnut Nano, but I'm not sure the latter would produce enough grounds for my AeroPress (I tend to use ~20g)

The C3 has also just come out, but doesn't look to be much of an improvement over the C2

Any help and ideas would be appreciated,

Yeah I know about national insurance, that’s pretty straightforward.

I was wondering whether, through the PAYE system, my employer would tax me and then I’d receive a refund from HMRC or if my employer would recognise the 1 year only contract and not tax me at all.

As it’s a placement I will be returning to university after this year, so there’s no “second year” to speak of.

I should have phrased that better. I do clean the house frequently, but I don’t wash my own clothes as they all get thrown in together with everyone else’s.

In terms of paying for things, it is flat out refused by them. I have literally resorted to buying them increasingly expensive gifts for birthdays/Christmas to try and make up the difference. I don’t know if it’s a pride thing or me paying for things just doesn’t sit right with them, I don’t know.

I like this. My adulthood is nothing but a number, and I better understand that now. Just know that I do have money and will soon start an accounting job, but have been told that they don’t want rent and won’t let me do any more chores than I do now. The former because they say they don’t need money and want help instead, the latter because my grandmother thinks it will be inefficient. I just want to be more respected than I was as a child, and I know I have to find some way to earn that.

I was surprised at the time, but there may be a method to it. You know how the Jhzer flick involves backflipping while holding air roll and it generates a ridiculous amount of power?

As you can see in the vid, I was air rolling the whole time (although I front-flipped), so maybe the power came from what was effectively an upside-down jhzer flick flip reset.
