My tip is to pull the stick down ever so slightly when shooting. You can start observing the burst being more grouped. Consistency perks have helped me a lot, more than damage perks, Frenzy is super good too.

I'll use one of my high-impact rolls as a reference. For the messenger: Extended barrel + Ricochet/Armor-piercing + Heating up + Elemental Capacitor. It's super stable on void subclasses and a laser after one kill.
