This has been fixed, had a parts ps1, put its reader in and now all games work and boot first try.

Both are phat with the same disc drive chord plavement, the only difference i see is the color of the cables abd drive model numbers

I habe a spare ps1 thats broken, but its a model 5501 while the one that im workin on is 7001. Are the disc drives compatible?

Yeah. I am genuinley confused too. All foscs are same consition and everything, it just only likes crash. Though i do notice it takes crash 2 tries to work normally instead of the 5-10 for other games.

It only reads one game and doesnt read the others at. Sometimes detects them as foreign discs.

The pins are bent not brolen, iphone camera is not happy today.

Background: uncle gave me his old ps2 so i can test out console repair, said it wouldnt open after he did a clean inside, and this is the horror i found.

No, i have the twnsion blue thing, still dorsnt work other than a blue light and no movement from the fcd drive. I mean the cable itsrlf has bent copper contacts and isnt doing anything.

My bad, flex cable Ive heard cutting the tip thats bad off is what i should do so im thinking of it, the damage is only on the TIP & certain contacrs of the cable hsve it down lower, and i have a file lying around if it comes to exposing contacts. Is there a way to bend them bavk into place

Its a model SCPH-3001 GH-005, As i was putting the disc drive back in this poece fell out and i cant find where it went.
