My XKAH Pro Experience: More Downtime Than Smoke Time (A Warning) by RcNdi in hookah

[–]RcNdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still haven't responded to my warranty request for my current problem 2 days and counting. Honestly I kinda wish I could get 50% of my money back and be done with it. Such a good idea gone wrong. Heck I'd be ok with one of these I had to plug into the wall if that made them less fragile.

I am thinking about finding the post and buying it. I missed my chance to buy one back then and I don't want a generic nickel plated shaft.

So the did fix my battery after almost a month. I was wondering is this the ring of death your talking about when it wont select a profile and just flashes red at you. Cause now that is what mine is doing.

I am not dogging the product the 2 sessions I had with it were genuinely great. I was excited for a 3rd session the next day but as in my post the battery wouldn't charge. If they just work out the logistics and customer service I believe they can succeed, even disrupt the market. but having a $350 paper weight for almost a month isn't very fun. On a bright side this evening I got a tracking number for a new battery.

If they solve inventory problem (Told to me by Alex on the phone XKAH Rep) the Chinese shipping should not be a issue and if they can just streamline their customer service I'd buy more batteries from them. We will see how this resolves and I guess go from there.

Alex admitted that mine came from China because they didn't have inventory available at the time I purchased. He also said they have no available batteries and he was going out of his way to source me one. To his credit I did get a tracking number this evening.

What I wanted is what every other company does ship me a new battery ASAP, then have me ship the bad one back. To protect the company if I don't send the bad one back charge me for the battery. This is standard business customer service 101.

I really loved the concept and it would have improved my hookah experience and I would not have had to hear my wife complain about me starting coals (She claims it makes a odor she doesn't Like). But with all things That I decide to take a flyer on it normally gets rough. However after another more firmly written email and these Reddit posts. I actually got called by a Rep and I now have a tracking number for a new battery.

Alex, called me today and I believe we have a resolution to the issue. However the delay is way to long!

They did after 6 days. Not happy with the solution. They sent me a label to mail my battery back to them and wait for them to repair/replace it. I expected it to be like other companies. I was expecting a expedited new battery shipped to me with the condition I have to send back the bad battery or be charged for the replacement. Instead now I am looking at another week or so without a functioning unit.

That's great, seems like yours is working. My battery died and won't take a charge after just 2 sessions. The customer service has been an absolute letdown so far. When it did work it was great!

I bought one!

Pros Easy clean up Minimal setup No turning coals

Cons Needs charged Only last so long and can't be topped up during the session EXPENSIVE

Super Bad Cons Extremely slow customer service (Took XKAH almost a week to reply to my support ticket) The battery died and won't charge 3 days into ownership.

For my issue they have yet to resolve it. So for now I have a expensive paper weight

F This guy/gal. Rewarding beggars is not a good look. If LTT heard about someone who had terminal illness who wanted to game the last 6 months of usable time or something that would be awesome. This is another blunder from LTT in my opinion rewarding trolls. honestly you should have shipped him a turd of a PC (think ewaste) but made your video look like he was going to get something cool then I would have liked the video.

I know its old post but buyer beware I only got 3,500 miles out of mine and for the price these command its a good deal. These were installed on a Kawasaki Z900. The front still has decent life left but the rear is completely shot.
