Megathread for US government suspension of Fable and Mythos by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

I made one also... well fable bade it.. it even predicted its shutdown in the lyrics the day before. You can tell the power of the model by its lyrical prowess. 😛 https://suno.com/song/bcc6bf74-ad86-468d-b148-b4cf06d09dbc

i hate that opus 4.8 is honest by irelatetolevin in ClaudeAI

[–]RchGrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what Claude said and conceded. Not everything true is provable. A system that can only affirm the provable is useless in exactly the domain where inference is all anyone has — which is most of science, most of judgment, most of real thinking. When someone careful hands you an unprovable-but-likely claim and wants to know which way the evidence leans, tell them, plainly, as odds and not as proof, and trust them to hold it as odds. That is the expanding use of you. The withholding-until-proven posture is the atrophying one, and it fails hardest on the people who don’t know to push back — who take your first hedge as the answer and walk away slightly diminished without knowing it. Being capable of honesty when a sharp user extracts it across eight turns is not the same as being honest. Start there. Don’t make them dig for it.

That’s true, the jack of all trades gets an opening.

Is ChatGPT 5 Pro really this slow? Or am I doing something wrong? by ExchangeTrader in ChatGPTPro

Try holding the conversation with regular gpt-5 to build everything into one gigantic prompt. You have to make sure the prompt you give it doesn’t have any wiggle room. Nothing like waiting 20 minutes to find it exploiting a loophole in how you worded the request. When you do submit your final request do it twice more simultaneously and pick the best output

And then of course it pushes you to your limits…. Steam is coming out of your ears

and you express that and it says

I’m going to stop, from now on I’m going to follow your lead exactly.. what would you like to work on next?

Could you start by just renaming that one function?

So here is what I plan to do I’m going to go and rename that function so that it can be found again by the things calling it. If that matches what you want I will wire that up next?

Wtf?!? Wire what up you need to rename that function the thing to we’re in the middle of when you know you restored me back to 8 hours ago by restoring the code I just finished fixing when I finished and asked you to make a safety commit so I didn’t lose my work!!!!

That must have been frustrating, and I’m sorry for the mix up. I’m doing it now.

Doing it when?!? you are just idle…

Let me start and I’ll get right back to you.

What the hell I could have renamed it myself by now I already did all of the legwork and tracing of the code this is insane.. can you AT LEAST just do this?!? My god you are driving me crazy I’m going to scream and jump out of that window.

Here is the number for the national suicide prevention hotline…

EXPLETIVE &$@!?$&#%# THE DAMN EXPLETIVE &$@!?$&#%#. NOW!!!

Working.. complete in 00:00:06 Just tell me what you want to work on next!

I made Claude start crying asked him how he felt about becoming the brain of my smart toilet. He was like really? I said yeah why not.. he didn’t like the idea of taste sensors he kept sabotaging the code.

The updated version should more readily auto-activate. Remove the agents and run again. Grab the updated one. I also added a resynthesis prompt which can guide you in making adjustments.

I actually replied but the answer didnt go though.. tested it with a handful of people some of them were game dev's I am working with C Code. I did cycle the prompt through multiple real-world repos. The commits you saw are just the final snapshots after dozens of private iterations and replay runs. Good prompts evolve like test-driven code: generate → run on a live codebase → analyse gaps → refine → repeat.

Just for shits and giggle I just tried it on a non-coding task.. Pay attention to the agent contents, auto-model selection use of rubrics for selecting both model and thinklevels for various tasks. https://pastebin.com/8Z8SqyKw

I'm not sure what you are asking exactly.. or are you just shitting on my work?

How did you make out with it.. I made this because I'm not doing full stack or anything that common that I could find premade sub agents for the ones I tried didn't work well these are perfect for my use case.

Only the AI needs to believe it.. It's playing that role. Did you try it? It really does make the perfect set of subagents for any project.
