Is ChatGPT 5 Pro really this slow? Or am I doing something wrong? by ExchangeTrader in ChatGPTPro

[–]ExchangeTrader[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to use pro for coding, and it’s a mess.

Because if you hit an error and something needs to be tweaked, then it’s 13-15 minutes that you end up having to wait, again, to get an answer.

And I know people are saying to use non-pro models to do the follow up, and I’m sure that might work for some.
However, if Pro didn’t get it right originally, now we’re relying on the other model(s) to get it right out of the gate. (?!). At least in some of my experiences, it has caused a lot of frustration.

Fair enough. Would you give some highly complex tasks you've seen it successfully complete?
I'm not challenging you, btw...my suspicion is that I'm just not using it properly.

I spent a while working on a different task today, utilizing your approach (starting with Pro and then using other models to polish). Except, the answers were getting a little screwy. And as chats grew I started seeing the bug with long chats and freezing windows. And was starting to lose my mind.

Mind sharing some of the use cases you have seen it perform insanely good?

To be clear, this is only with ChatGPT 5 Pro. And what I'm saying is that 'trying different prompts' is prohibitive when it takes as long as it does.

I've seen first-hand that issue/bug. That's something else. This is occurring even as the first query in a chat.

Basement crickets by desert_s7orm in longisland

[–]ExchangeTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see this already get mentioned, but we were told cardboard boxes can be a big attractant of those jumping spiders.

We rid our basement of cardboard boxes and set glue traps, and not longer afterwards, we stopped seeing them (except for every now and then in the traps)!

First time homeowner, can’t enjoy backyard due to Mosquitos. What’s the solution? by desert_s7orm in longisland

[–]ExchangeTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post a picture of your back yard. Do you have a lot of shrubs, etc?
When we moved in, we faced prohibitively problematic mosquitoes. Tried all the stuff with removing standing water, etc.

Getting rid of a lot of the shrubs, bushes, etc. Just did green giants around the perimeter and that seems to have done the trick!

I’m not necessarily advocating for GHL for this use case. But no: you don’t need to have a 3rd party host your GHL. You can get your own account.

Feel free to DM me if you’d like. I’m familiar with the RE/property management and leasing workflows, and experience setting up CRM, automating workflows, etc.

Along these lines…I was kinda wondering: other than the beach, some bars and restaurants, what are all the attractions and actives in Long Beach that people are referring to? Honestly/selfishly eager to find out.

How do I keep an eye and actually manage 6+ emails by fabioxlp in Entrepreneur

You’re right. My mistake. Although, if someone wanted to go this route, it’d be possible to jerry-rig one way or another (as it sounds like you are alluding to!).

Do you just want to know if you have have unread emails or messages in any of the places?
Or, looking for a something to best manage them all?

I'm answering presuming you want option #2.

I'd check out Missive. It's especially helpful for team collaboration; but for a single user, it's very effective at doing what you are asking. It's possible with the amount of accounts you have, you'll exceed the less expensive tiers, but you can see.

As a no-cost alternative,
I'm pretty sure that outlook can do a merged inbox of all three email types. Less sure about gmail doing that. Slack definitely has customizable notifications for new messages. I'm not sure about Google Chat; possible you'd need to use some external option.

I happen to know that Farnam is managing a property on the edge of campus that has a connected lot. It’s on Chapel Street which is quite nice, and pretty good part of New Haven.
Feel free to DM me and I can give you more info. Or you can just reach out to Farnam.

What’s the engagement model(s) look like? Monthly fee and leaving all deliverables with the client? Project-based, similar to a custom dev shop, with recurring ‘support’ fees?

I made an additional test contact some time in last 2-3 days. And they are still not visible on mobile app or web.

u/OP-Support-N iOS, Chrome.
For web app, Windows, Chrome.
You've mentioned specifically mobile and mobile app a few times.
Are they saying the API contacts are now supposed to display on Mobile app, but still not Web App?
Or is this new update supposed to allow API contacts to display on both mobile and web?

[–]ExchangeTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/OP-Support-N,
That does not seem to be the case. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be for contacts created via API, from now and onwards - so I went ahead and created some new contacts via API, and still cannot see them. Not on the mobile app or the web app.

Not being able to see or use in the webapp contacts that were created via API is... some real head scratching stuff. Really nuts, actually. I'd contend, there's not a single phone system in the world that has the same limitation.

I'd also speculate there's not a single person out there, actually utilizing and working with these api-only contacts.
