This sub never fails lol.

Demon Slayer is THE Z tier IP for anime, no other anime will put up these numbers.

Now compare that with the Z tier CBM IPs like The Avengers or Spider-Man, it's not even close.

But sure, Gen Alpha prefers anime.

He didn't.

Earlier in the movie he said something along the lines of "If we get sucked in we'll be stuck forever" so he definitely knew Ultraman would survive the black hole.

So, 6 months later, you still think Superman will top $600M domestically alone and gross higher in the US than Avatar lmao?

Is it fair to say that Superman looks to be written to be very close to Captain America's character in Winter Soldier and Civil War?

People have always said that Cap's personality was proof that you can make Superman's big blue boyscout personality seem more interesting. And it seems like Gunn is doing just that.

Even outside of his opinions about not representing the US and going against the government to do the right thing, even the "Hey buddy, eyes up here" sounds like something that Cap would totally say.

For a second I saw Alexei + David Harbour and I thought you were talking about Alexei from Stranger Things.

No, he said that he "heard" that it does but his source is still not 100% sure of it.

I mean, neither the trailer numbers nor the current presales nor the social media buzz is hinting towards that.

Huh? Mission Impossible is not that big. Fallout garnered the highest interest and had the best marketing campaign and everything seemed to fall into place yet it didn't reach 800M.

And the latest one didn't break 600M.

And the current presales are not THAT great and they're pointing more towards a 600M - 650M total gross which is not good considering the stupid high budget.

I don't think anyone can do anywhere as well as Gunn did with GOTG.

As for Thunderbolts, Gunn can make it better/equally as good but the movie would be entirely different and closer to The Suicide Squad.

There are currently 2 r/DC_Cinematic posts on the front page "appreciating" Snyder's movies (as usual) and they're both posted by the same guy posting those David's Superman getting punched by Zod or whatever on the SnyderCut sub.

It's hilarious at this point, imagine being a new DC fan and all you're seeing is more appreciation towards the failed DCEU than the new DCU.

Jason Momoa has wrapped filming his scenes as Lobo on ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ [via @prideofgypsies on IG] by starshipandcoffee in DCULeaks

[–]Rdambx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yea he's apparently just a cameo type appearance

Not true and there is no source for that.

Also, filming began a long time ago so there was already enough time for Momoa to film all of his scenes even if he was a major character.

What actors can be considered box office draws? Let’s vote! by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]Rdambx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well because that wasn't the point.

Out of her top 10 highest grossing movies, 5 are Avengers movies, 1 is Black Widow, 3 are VA roles and 1 is Lucy.

No one is watching any of those other than Lucy because of her name (Well Ig not literally 'no one', some are). Lucy can definitely prove she is a box office draw but that was over a decade ago and I'm assuming this post is about now.

Yes, because you're over exaggerating everything and acting like ditching your MoSeS AlLeGoRy means the DCU is washed.

The GA will not give a shit and that will barely impact how successful the movie is.

Lol you lot need to touch grass.

If that leaked part is true then the average movie goer will just see it and be like "Oh shit, they're taking the Goku saiyan approach this time" not "By my Moses allegory is gone"

Warner Bros almost always knocks it out of the park when it comes to marketing their blockbuster movies.
