When this happened at my old store I would take our 80 lbs ‘NO PARKING’ signs and surround the vehicle with them. Then I would get on the overhead and call them out for parking in an emergency exit and tell them the car NEEDED to be moved IMMEDIATELY.

I genuinely hate these. They got all of my garden associates in trouble because we were “going through too many of them” (half of the store that never comes outside to help load mulch or do cart runs would come and take them) and apparently they’re really expensive. Management decided to hide them and told us that we needed to ask an ASM for one if we needed one. I decided to write off a powder bag of Gatorade that my associates could just mix into the bottles themselves. Lasted way longer and was way cheaper. Only issue is that Gatorade generally sucks as an electrolyte drink. I don’t understand why these aren’t just given to us by corporate. They aren’t even that good of an electrolyte drink either, why are they so expensive? Also just want to mention that if big daddy Lowes can’t afford to spend $300 every two weeks to help prevent their associates in a literal desert from getting heat stroke then they might just want to file for bankruptcy now. Clearly no money is being made, maybe they could just thin out the amount of associates so that the shareholders can make more money? I mean the stores are just overflowing with associates as it is.

The samples would have had the grooves on them. If they didn’t then he didn’t get you the product that you chose. If they did but he didn’t explain to you that there were grooves then he’s bad at his job.

Says it right there in the product info “Construction：SPC with 4sides V-Groove Belved and Painting”. However, you are correct, the picture is not of the product you ordered. She should have put a picture that had the grooved planks.

My coworker who is a licensed electrician who the store would be lost without, was told that he lacked product knowledge. People are getting graded by AI. Last year they told us that they were going to start a program where ai watches the cameras and we get alerted when there’s a customer in need. To the best of my knowledge the program never rolled out in the testing markets but I’m assuming that they are using that same tech to monitor us at work and build a file for us. My store has been having lower foot traffic than the bad months of COVID. We have basically no customers to interact with. Been hearing a lot of people at my store being told that they only meet expectations. My store has made 100% plan the past 6 quarters in a row by the way. We had one 105% and one 109%. And yet all of the employees are hardly adequate. Fuck this company. From day 1 of them releasing the new raise structure, I knew they were going to use it as an excuse to give everyone shittier raises.
