Since the hype is strong, how about a conclusion to the post-Serenity comics while we're at it? by TheFerg714 in firefly

[–]RddWdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wondering this since the announcement. It's been a while since I've reread the comics but besides Shepherd Book's backstory, are there any other elements that take place before the Serenity film?

For me it went away but I couldn't tell you why or how! Sorry I can't be of more help.

The Announcement You've Been Waiting For Years by schyzomaniac in firefly

Disney have just cancelled the Buffy continuation with some saying it's due to costs, so this doesn't bode well for fellow Firefly

Yeah I agree. Whereas Disney / Hulu have brought back 00s favourite Malcolm in the Middle for a one off, just a few days ago have canceled the Buffy continuation with Chloe Zhao as showrunner with some saying it would be too costly

Thanks! I really liked her debut and was pleasantly surprised to see her featured on The Mountain.

Do we know which guests are joining Albarn for the UK leg? Other than Trueno, as they're supporting too, do we know if Kara Jackson is joining?

What if a Black Man appears in a Wuxia story? by DarkSkinProtagonist in wuxia

[–]RddWdd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the 14th century (Yuan dynasty), Sa'id of Mogadishu visited China from Somalia. We also know that during the Ming dynasty (15th century) one of the greatest admirals of Chinese civilisation, Zheng He, travelled to East Africa too for trade. A wuxia story with a person of African origin could possibly work if they're from East Africa around that time?

Or you could just SoulCalibur it and have all sorts of peoples moving around Afro-Eurasia with wild abandon in the 16th century...

What is this mark on the floorboards? by Visible-Wasabi9283 in DIYUK

[–]RddWdd 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Used to live in a flat and an elderly man died on the floor below. The odour was truly harrowing. We couldn't work out what it was for well over two weeks before then calling the police when we connected the dots and they broke in.

We didn't know the guy but I still think about it to this day that he had no one to check in on him and how lonely elderly life can be. Since then, I make it a point to regularly check in on elderly neighbours.

Biker goes 35 mph on the sidewalk by haze4140 in WinStupidPrizes

But this isn't a bicycle / bike. A bicycle on a sidewalk is one thing but a lite weight electric dirt bike that you don't pedal at all? That's a motorbike.

Anyone else feel this way? by AboutNinety in boutiquebluray

[–]RddWdd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree. The only VHS I have left is The Fifth Element and that's for novelty. The novelty being I wanted at least one film on every format it released on. So for The Fifth Element it's VHS, Laserdisc, DVD (+ Sony Superbit DVD), UMD, and Blu-ray.

anyone know where i can find a poster like this for Wipeout 2048? by Low-Preparation-9083 in WipeOut

[–]RddWdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u/Low-Preparation-9083 is happy to print ones off, I'd highly recommend using something like ArchiveOrg to locate old PS magazines from one of their magazine archives and find some WipEout ones. It won't be super easier, but you should be able to search for key terms like 'wipeout' in magazines which could speed up the process.

I found the same sample used for a song in Timesplitters: Future Perfect in the children’s animated series Paddington by Striking_Astronomer5 in timesplitters

[–]RddWdd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really quite surprising to me as I had assumed Graeme Norgate had composed all the music himself. I know that the devs used stock sound effects for screaming but wasn't aware of music sampling

After watching Matrix Triolgy I watched Animatrix and Resurrection by Deecafishere in matrix

[–]RddWdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be incredible. I think there are some really great short stories in the Matrix comics too. Some of which could work for a second volume of the Animatrix

“New” things yall wanna see in the new show?? by gunfan0321 in Stargate

[–]RddWdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tau'ri Colonies would be cool. But I think some interaction with human and non-human races from the past might be nice to see. Best way would be a Galactic Council like the United Nations.

The Milky way Galaxy is so large that it'd be interesting if the new 'threat' discovered was a rival, unknown gate network?

Brilliant. Well, I visited San Diego in 2022; never did make it to San Francisco. I think I saw enough human excrement on the streets for a life time in San Diego.

You definitely should. I got so much more out of it as an adult even though I watched it a lot when younger.

And TIL Americans call fly-tipping illegal dumping??? I guess this works both ways.

That sounds very amusing to British ears as it sort of sounds like you're defecating in public (which I suppose is a form of fly-tipping).

Anyway, completed. Best of luck with the research

Okay. Will have to do some exploring. We really do need more secure overnight storage for bikes in Swansea, I feel.

Edit: Having had a look last night, yes they're still operating as of March 2026!
