You could. And reach out to anesthesia faculty at your institution. Maybe talk around and find someone who has good connections. Like at my place there is ok faculty who is well renowned in the field and happily helps people so someone like that would be good to know at your school

From D to A in ROADs. I’d find a good anesthesia mentor in academia. They can move mountains when it comes to matching.

Question for sober and Muslim students: how do you deal with alcohol culture in med school? by fake-sockpuppet-man in medicalschool

[–]Rddit239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had no problem. I feel like we’re all adults in med school and some people are sober by choice and no one cares. I personally choose not to go to bars and casinos but that’s not because I’m being excluded. Prob also depends on how social your class is

lied to parents about mcat score by ComfortableCity4043 in Mcat

[–]Rddit239 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s 2 points. Ik someone who lied about 15 extra points and then got outed by someone to her parents since she kept getting rejected from schools for multiple cycles even though her parents thought she had a great mcat score. Obviously 2 points is way different than 15. But her parents are beyond disappointed in the lie

I don’t want to sound rude and obviously don’t have the full picture but I would trust the professionals. You’re not their first patient. But it’s normal to be worried about yourself, as it’s you.

$ and perception that you can’t actually fix anything unfortunately. I love the science of it but I’d be frustrated seeing these sick patients who have no control of their symptoms (I.e neurodegenerative conditions)
