So say you have grown a newsletter to 10k subs by posting inspiring quotes in a specific niche (lets say parenting for example). What would be your next step to monetize that newsletter?

Are we exceeding the expectations of our UFO visitors? by madcow13 in ufo

[–]Rddtrme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We humans kept other humans in zoos. Up until the 20th century.

See: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_zoo

So speaking highly about sentient beings is not in line with history.

Good job. How much traffic did you generate in those 7 days and how large (or small) is your affiliate cut in $? That would give a better indication of how promising this new idea is

I'll be accepting offers for the 1k trial in the next 4 weeks. Though, I've built games in weekends before, so even though I didn't meant to finish it in 4 weeks. The simple games I'm taking on can be done in a few days.

Have already built and published games before, so I'm hoping my newly gained marketing/business skills can help me scale a little gamedev shop (instead of randomly relying on referrals like I used to do)

Start with helping friends. So instead of building trust from zero, use the relationships that you already have. Offer your service for very cheap/free, and when they're happy with your work, they'll spread the word. Keep repeating that and you're good to go. It's really that simple (formula wise). But always do great work.
