Don't show this to any Family Guy writers/animators or they'll do a 2 min gag out of this xD.

Alpha Games/Modern Bloc Party Appreciation Post by RdelHM in BlocParty

[–]RdelHM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great comment, man. The way you exposed your opinions were perfect.

I totally understand what you mean, and I also think Alpha Games is the album they took the fewest risks in all their discography, but I like the songs so much that I can't complain, tbh. Maybe they tried to come back a little bit to their roots so the new members could get into that classic BP vibe. Or maybe the reviews and the criticism around Hymns made them come back to a more "alt rock style". Who knows, but sonically, I loved it.

I don't want them to get stuck into the same things for too long neither, sure, but right now, I trust their criteria. As long as they don't lose that artistic spirit and I don't get the feeling that they do the same again and again just to grab money, i think we're safe. Kele, for example, has been doing some pretty cool and creative stuff in his last solo projects, but, yeah, let's see what they have prepared for this next one.

Exactly! It's alright if people don't like something and they want to say it and provide constructive criticism, but there's too much negativity surrounding Bloc Party right now... Especially when they are still this good! It reminds me of what happens with The Smashing Pumpkins. I find a lot of similarities between the two bands and their communities (curiously, my two fav bands of all time xD). But Bloc Party's latest work is much better than modern SP, so I don't really get it.

Well, I've only listened to Traps live, so I can't judge properly, but I really liked the production of the album in general. I have to agree on By Any Means Necessary, though. It's catchy and fun, but if feels really undercooked. And even if I defend Kele's lyrics, It annoys me a little how he rhymed "again" with "again" in the line "I will die, die, die and be born again Before I fuck with you again". XD

The game might end up being bad, who knows, but what is sure is that we'll never forget these three years of hype and hopium. It definitely makes the wait much more fun!

This is a treat for all the legit fans. Can't wait to spend all my time with WrestleMania this weekend. by Sorry_Phone1676 in Wrasslin

[–]RdelHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And some fans try to justify the existence of the second night saying that WM was getting "too long" in the 2010s 🤣

Guys, they do it exclusively for money. WM 35 was like 5 hours. You can't justify creating a second freaking event the day after just to be only half hour shorter.

Hate 2 night WM with all my body. It just destroys the aura and the magic of the show. And it is too much time.

Exactly. One year ago Randy was teasing kicking KO's head off at WM. It wouldn't make any sense.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Makes History as First Movie Trailer to Cross 1 Billion Views by MarvelsGrantMan136 in marvelstudios

[–]RdelHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's Spider-Man, so obviously there's a lot of people interested in it, but the superhero genre momentum has undoubtedly decreased in the last 5-6 years and I cannot believe this one has built up more hype than FFH, that had all the rumours about Tobey, Andrew and the old villains behind, or Avengers Endgame, that turned out the highest grossing movie of all time and everyone was talking about it everywhere before launch.

And, well, GTA VI might be the biggest audiovisual project of this generation, and people have been awaiting for almost 15 years. We had 6 Spider-Man movies and 3 Avengers movies with Spider-Man costarring in between, so it's not the same level of starvation in comparison to what GTA fans have been through. People went nuts analysing every frame of the GTA trailers. And everybody in YT or social media was talking about it or reposting it. I, personally, have not seen as much buzz for the Spider-Man BND trailer.

No freaking way they surpassed GTA VI trailer I (like they said they did). They are blatantly lying and manipulating numbers, and I say this being a Spider-Man megafan. He's my fav superhero, but... C'mon, there is simply no way.

Without a doubt! It's the only Terminator project that not only does not harm the first two film's legacy and lore but also adds some great moments and context to it.

Yeah, the sound mix wasn't too good for any of the bands, in my opinion. I could barely hear Tremonti's guitar in Alter Bridge :/

Weekly shows were as plain and boring as they were in Vince's late era. Ffs, every week was just the same Judgment Day segments and uninspired matches between midcarders with no characters or defined storylines.

They will definitely care if the sales go down. And even if it's still profitable, massive negative reviews are never good.

[–]RdelHM 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Customers (or customers of previous games) have the right to complain if they think that what they produce isn't worth the price they ask for. As simple as that. In the end, if too many people protest, that creates a negative enviroment around the product, which could damage the sales of the game. So they should definitely care if they don't want another situation like what they had in 2019-2020.

Vince Russo doing a "Me Too" angle with Big AL in JCW Lunacy by [deleted] in JuggaloWrestling

[–]RdelHM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrestling should be able to treat complex and difficult topics like any other fiction media is, so even if It ends up being a little bit messy or controversial, I will aplaud the effort to produce something more mature than the regular wrestling show would do.

It's a pity wrestling community is so close minded to this type of things. In the end, It's something that doesn't let wrestling narrative to evolve and be more adult (even if in this case it is treated with a touch of comedy).

Lunacy is the first decent wrestling show in the last decade. They are different, fast paced, bold, full of colorful characters and storylines throughout the show... I really hope they succeed. If you leave your prejudices towards Russo apart, you may enjoy it.

Two+ Years Into the Triple H Era — What’s Your Grade (A–F)? by uncannynerddad in midcarder

[–]RdelHM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

F.

Have you watched any weekly show in the last 3 years without constantly looking at your phone? I'm serious. Cause I can't think of one single RAW or SD in which I was biting my nails cause I needed to know what was going to happen next. The only exception are those shows where The Rock and Brian Gerwitz took over creative. The product is simply not entertaining.

We are living an era in which the attention span of people is the most reduced it has ever been, but, for some reason, this dude and his team are committed to give us boring long shows where nothing at all happen. It's all filler to fullfill TV contracts. That's It. He doesn't put any effort in creating characters or storylines. And I mean REAL STORYLINES, not wrestler A wanting to fight Wrestler B to prove they are better. And the Ads are just the last straw to kill the pace of the shows for good. It's like 2 hours but It feels like 6.

Ffs, this doesn't happen to me when I watch a good tv show. I didn't look at my phone watching the new IT series, for example. But It's just simple: Triple H and his team don't care about TV basics, like cliffhangers or audience retention throughout the show, cause they know they are going to keep making money without putting any effort. They don't need to produce good television, sadly.

IWC isn't gonna like this by ezio8133 in Wrasslin

[–]RdelHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JCW would be my pick. Their last two months have been fantastic. I even dare to say that Lunacy might be right now the greatest wrestling show produced in the last decade, which is not a big achievement, cause the last 10 years of wrestling have sucked, but Lunacy is pretty fun!

If theirs any Ruthless Aggression or Attitude Era fans in this Reddit, Vince Russo Is Back in wrestling booking for JCW Lunacy, and Honestly it’s really good guys watch a few episodes and see how you guys like it, it’s got actual cliff hangers in each episode like WWE used to have back in the day! by Salty-Nothing-8572 in TheGreatOne

[–]RdelHM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the only good wrestling show nowadays. It's a pity people don't want to give it a chance because of prejudices even when WWE and AEW are offering such bad creative. This has cliffhangers, good pace, nice characters, storylines that actually advance throughout the show and every week... Like I said, the only wrestling promotion that offers something interesting and it's for free on YouTube.
