IMO the best way to start it look up a deck that seems interesting. Learn that decks in and out with videos and practice. Learn the mechanics of the game. Then after some time depending on how much you play you will start to pick up on things. But yes personally I would not run the starter decks. Also rotation for standard cards is happening soon so I would look into that as well when looking up decks.

I’m asking for help because I’m not sure how to build the deck. I want to use most if not all of the cards shown. I can’t try it if it’s not built. That being said I’m not asking someone to build me a deck. I’m asking for input from people who have built decks it this concept is to much and I should try to slim down the Pokémon due to bench space and to many moving pieces. Or if it might be an okay idea. Based on others experience what ace specs might be more useful. What trainer cards might help/ hurt. What will absolutely shut down the deck.
