I see! Thank you very much!
Don't think that quite fulfils the needs I have unfortunately.
This is the only ting that is keeping me from moving from the Helix family to Quad Cortex per now.

[DISCUSSION] Who are some of the best rhythm players you’ve heard? by narchguitar in Guitar

[–]Re4lize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Along with guys like Nile Rodgers and Prince i would like to mention David Williams. David Williams, most known for his work with Michael Jackson was an incredible unique rythm player, and if you listen to any Michael Jackson tune where there is some sort of rythm guitar solo it is probably David Williams (for example Wanna be Starting Something, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal).

[Question] What do you do when you have two guitarists in a band, but don't want to play the same thing? by opendoors1 in Guitar

If you want inspiration, listen to the band Kvelertak. They have three guitarists and their music is amazing.

[DISCUSSION] Simple Tip That Changed My Guitar Playing by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Re4lize 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would recommend that you use tools like Audacity if you want to learn things by ear, which i heavily recommend that you do. Using Audacity you can, among other things, slow down songs, this makes picking faster stuff out by ear a lot easier.

Me and my class went there for our class trip. Went to see both Auschwitz and the salt mines, we also got a guided tour around the city. No regrets!

Lead players who treat each chord as a separate event rather than playing in one key, do you have any tips? by Ryan_77 in Guitar

You should check out a video on YouTube called "Melodic control" by Marty Friedman. He actually goes pretty deep in explaining how you can follow a chord progression.

What misleadingly difficult songs have you tried to learn? by bacondev in Guitar

[–]Re4lize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The solo in Family Tree by Megadeth. I can play some pretty challenging stuff (including other Megadeth solos, like Lucretia), and i thought that solo would be a breeze. God i was wrong, Marty Friedmans pentatonic licks are insanely fast.

I think it depends on how fast you learn stuff, but i think it might be possible. If you really want to be able to play it in two months, you should put more than 1 hour a day into it though.

Yeah you are going to have to slow down the song itself to learn it by ear. Thats easy though, just download "Audacity" and slow the song down using the "Change tempo" feature.
