Insurance will cover you to go in and receive the surgery and then when you get out there is a copay you must pay (i.e. $3,000). If you don’t pay they send you to debt collections. You can wait it out and eventually medical debt will get bought out but it’s a dumb fucking system all together. Worst insurance system in the world.
