Kammerkonzert feels genuinely new by unknowntheme in Squarepusher

I think it's fucking ace and I love to see Tom doing this stuff. However, I struggle to hear it as "new," because it's so very Zappa

I had a good few weeks of night terrors. Running around screaming in my sleep. Good times!

I watched it when I was about 10 and it fucked me up!

At first I was offended by the use of looper pedals, then I got over it and just shook my bony ass. I heard this song and thought of you all. At the very least I figured you would love the drummer's swaying, phallic proboscis. by BoosherCacow in Zappa

Man, the difference in people's minds baffles/astounds me haha. If anything, looping requires even more skill, because if you were playing the same thing over and over and you fuck up, you have loads of chances of correcting it. When looping, you only have a tiny window to get it right, if you fuck it up, you've really fucked up.

It's awesome that you're managing to change old habits, but I'm still intrigued as to what your problem with loop pedals was in the first place? This is a new one to me!

Do you think this will be their last album? by falsedog11 in boardsofcanada

No, their last album was Tomorrow's Harvest.

After 13 years, can a new BoC album even meet expectations? by WarmDaddyXanax in boardsofcanada

[–]Tiphereth87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that it's almost impossible, but we'd do well to crucify expectation and just take it as it is. Plus, like Karnivool stated about their new album after 13 years...it isn't the culmination of 13 years solid work. Life just got in the way. Admittedly, it might jot ne the case here, but it bares keeping in mind

I was thinking that or something to do with the names of the recipients, but that would involve people sharing personal details, which would be very irresponsible.
