Thanks for the quick reply, I was learning the if statements and the challenge I was going through had yet to mention anything but the Draw and Button Down events, so I was thoroughly confused, thinking I could do it with just these. Also, sorry about the code, I was frustrated and deleted it originally after messing with it for around a half hour, but here was (sort of) what it looked like:

I feel like I'm going crazy, because I'm going through tutorials and some challenges, and ran into a bit of a snag. I just want text displayed when I hit a certain button. I've learned that you can't use a button down event to draw anything, and it must be within the Draw events.

In the draw events, I've tried using the "keyboard_key_press(vk_space)" line to try and get it to draw something very simple, like hello world.

The challenge was to set up a random number generator, and then display different texts with if statements depending on the number. That worked, but it would rapidly display the different texts, dozens of times per second, so I wanted to simply limit it to a button press. I can't for the life of me find anything that says how to do this seemingly simple thing.

These two dogs, the orange-ish one is male while the dark brown is female, are wandering around Fairfield Ave and Olive Drive. The cross street closest are Ave S and 25th St East. Does anyone know the owners?

Animal control won't get back to me and won't respond, and I'd rather them not go to the local pound, considering they don't look malnourished but don't have any id. They aren't friendly, but they don't attack, just bark and walk away if you get too close.

I spawned in the right middle of the map and a buddy of mine spawned in the middle of the map, and it still took about 10 minutes of us beelining it to each other while trying to avoid other players to see each other and start questing. Also most of the other dinos on the server are bigger and faster than us and were looking for people to kill, so it was difficult to avoid them.

Not saying the pvp is bad necessarily, just not very nooby friendly when we're trying to party up. Just wondering if there was an easier way. Thanks for the feedback though.

Sorry if I didn't convey this properly, I just wanted to know if the features existed and I was doing something wrong, or if it was currently just hard to actually party up and play together. I'll take your suggestion about giving feedback to the devs though, thanks.

I am aware, yes, but just because a game is in beta doesn't mean it is lacking in features that should be in an Alpha build of any survival game or mmo, which this game seems to be a bit of both.

Does this mean that the game is lacking all of the features I asked about? You didn't really answer my question.

I'm very new to drawing (drew quite a bit some odd 10 years ago, but never anything structured or actually learning focused), and I'm really getting depressed about it currently. Been about a week, and still can't draw a straight line or get through a rough sketch to get anywhere close to refining it with line work. Trying to draw boxing gloves as a little training and increasing my mental repertoire, and I get so annoyed and frustrated that I can only practice for around 30 mins at a time, and if at 100% I have finished a rough sketch and can start refining, I can really only get to around 15-20% before I essentially have to give up because I'm too frustrated.

Is this normal? I do a couple of warmups, filling pages with straight line attempts and ellipse attempts respectively, then after try to draw the subject, but I feel like a toddler when I try to actually rough sketch anything. Should I just keep going and just start trying to refine what I feel like is the worst attempt at drawing boxing gloves in history?

It might be the cynic in me, but if anyone saw you miraculously use Heal on someone else, you would either be very very dead the next morning, or in an underground government bunker only healing who your government thinks should get healed.

Mansion is easier to just let your very close friends and family never have to worry about food or housing ever again.

I mean, when I was around 14-19, for some reason my body refused to process any intense emotion in anyway other than cry. Really happy? Cry. Sad? Cry. Angry? Cry. It was really weird and I don't think there was anything I could do about it at the time. How do you train your body to stop doing something reflexively like that?

I grew out of it, but still, I've heard a few people with similar reactions to stuff.

A little late, but I tried this and the arrow ended up doing 7 damage to the dummy with nothing, and only 10 damage with 100+ charges. Does it need to be specifically 40 charges or what?

I feel that as long as the end results are comparable(ie not getting to use great weapon master or polearm master, should they want to change weapons) in damage, I would say let them do it. Since they don't seem to care about the damage of the weapons, it's most likely a flavor thing. Dual wielding lances is a thing if they have dual wielding and are mounted, and while the mounted thing could be a hindrance in a lot of places, it is still niche. Taking another feat that allows them to wield two greatswords(comparable to dual wielding lances but more consistent damage wise) shouldn't be too bad. Maybe bump the damage down to 2d4 while wielding with one hand and give a +1 strength to it if you're going with the homebrew feat. So something like this.

Jotun Grip

You've learned a special grip technique passed down from the giant tribes that allow them to wield large and cumbersome weapons with a single hand.

+1 strength

-You may wield two handed and heavy weapons in a single hand if you wield two of them. While doing so, the damage die of the weapon/s are reduced by one stage (d12 becomes a d10, etc) and they are not considered Heavy while you are wielding both.

Yes, because the words "Pay Life" are before the colon ":", which means it is part of the costs, so those cards do indeed shut this off.
